Address change by MyRVmail

Greetings all,

Some of you may know that the Passport America/MyRVmail service in Crestview Fl has changed addresses, (new facility next door) and it's been put upon all its customers to change their address because the post office apparently won't work with them.

Anyone else dealing with this, thoughts, especially working around the banks?

Been using the service for four years and the bank had no issue with it. Now suddenly the new address can't be used because it's been identified as a mail forwarding service by the bank, and I can't change my address.

Just curious how it's going with others who use the service.

  • I have been using MyRVMail since 2015. No issues, or problems.
  • Thanks Dutch, I'm familiar with the the Patriot Act. I just interpret it a little different than some banks do and wonder why they make it so difficult.
But, after posting, I called all of my banks and they have been able to override the denial of the address so all is good.

I was just wondering how the changeover was affecting others. Lot of work to update, in my case, about 50 plus contacts that need the new address.

A little frustrating, but I guess I'm glad the service is growing and not tanking. :)
  • The Patriot Act section 326 requires all federally regulated financial institutions to implement a CIP (Customer Identification Program). This requires the financial institution to verify the identity and residence of all new customers. The intent is to prevent money laundering through straw accounts. The act does include a provision for people who have no physical residence to provide a physical address of a family member or close friend though. Their address is used for CIP verification only, your mailing address can remain as the address of record for the account.
