Canopy

Did you ask this question before? I've seen it asked before.

I haven't seen one that collapses that small.

first, good canopies are well worth the $$$, bad/cheap one leave a bad taste quickly. Second, I haven't seen any that collapse to anywhere near the size you as.

All the 10x10's I've seen need about 5' collapsed length to end up with only one set of tubes for the legs, and the canopy material and arms by themselves also need 5' when collapsed down to allow extension to 10x10 when open.

I long ago lost count of the number of those "pop-up" canopies I have found in and around dumpsters, many of them literally new. Frustration level with them is apparently WAY high!

Check Cabela's. They have all kinds of camping gear. Everything I've ever purchased from them has met or exceeded my expectations.

I don't think you will find one that collapses to 36 inches. All I have seen are about 60 inches.

Wind and canopies don't go well together. Even a $2000 professional grade canopy will fly in the air if not well staked down. (Well staked down as in using steel fenceposts 2-3 feet in the ground.)

The average consumer grade EZ-Up will end up as a postmodern art sculpture come high winds. On the flipside, if one can stake it down well enough, it does make a decent camping tent.

Our 10' x 10" Easy UP closes to about 6"x6"x44". I doubt that you will find a 10 footer that closes up to your specs. Ours works great and stores well in the basement of our 5er. Good luck.

This was the only one I saw. It shows the shipping length to be 27", but I don't know that a 7x7 canopy would be worth the effort.

The saying, "you get what you pay for," is usually true. As far as finding a canopy that brakes down to 36" in length. You may be able to find one but question is, are you looking for what would be effectly "disposable?"

FWIW we use two like this one at Costco. It is a bit pricy but again, you get what you pay for. It brakes down to 62" in length, about 2' longer than what you are looking for.

We got the LL Bean Screen House with optional fly and floor last year and love it. Sorry can't seem to create the link.

DH is disabled so I put it up and take it down ptetty much by myself (5'4 and 125 lbs and not handy) in about 20 minutes up and down. Very easy. Folds small and handles wind and rain so far when staked.

A little spendy compared to EZ Up but looks and acts so far like it'll last for years.

There is a video of a guy putting it up in minutes on the website and lots of good reviews. Did a lot of research before buying and are very happy with it.
