- BumpyroadExploreryou have a power washer. if you can get at it, remove the spray fitting or something aim the washer in and have at it.
bumpy - Maybe that was the reason for selling?
Tanks are full this RV is done!
Maybe he did dump the tanks but the kids use the trailer as a fort and unknown to the seller filled it up over the winter. - wa8yxmExplorer IIIWell, why go to the tribble of dumping when you can leave it fort the next guy?
(I can answwer that question... But truthfully I do not like the kind of language I would use to describe the person who feels that way at all, and I have no wish to melt down your monitors,, cause I do know how to do that). - bandit86Explorer

Next time..
Lucky for me my dad and I went splits of small Kubota backhoe, digging up the tank didn't take long. Could not get the trailer in on the right angle because of trees, but got it close and level as the land really slanted away so I backed the trailer up on some 4x4 on the passenger side, still not level but close enough. Drain - fill -drain - fill. It took 20 seconds with a garden one to back the water all the way into the tank. Even had the power washer in the drain pipe to work that angle. An hour later all of a sudden it drained. Tanks were left full of water and laundry soap to soak, will dump in a few minutes and rinse.
Not nearly enough came out. Going to try the commando that Soundguy recommended. Or maybe the dishwasher soap, that seems good at breaking up caked on stuff - apr67ExplorerI've bought new from dealers that had 'stuff' in the tanks. I am assuming someone used it while it was on the lot. Add that to your PDI.
- NaioExplorer III was checking out a used composting toilet once, off craigslist. Looked down the hole, and right there curled up was some... uncomposted material.
- doxiemom11Explorer IIIt must be an unspoken rule, because my daughter & son-in-laws 5th wheel came with full tanks too.
- romoreExplorer IIThat is all well and good but I would have driven over it getting out of his yard.:E

Just ask if you can verify the operation of the valves right there in his yard.
