Has anyone tried it on their King Dome or any other object, awnings, shoes, etc that is it supposed to work so well?It is available at several stores, like Lowes, Walmart, Menards, Home Depot, etc. I am going to try some on some shoes, that is supposed to make them water repellent.

I spray my leather yard workin' gloves with the stuff and yep, they stay dry. I certainly don't think it will harm your dome.

Subscribed.. If the commercial is as good as product should be great stuff. Thinking about getting some myself and giving it a try.

I saw it today and I'm going to try it on my rain gear for sure. If it works well the upholstery is next.

Does anyone know how long it will last before it needs to be applied again?

I was thinking about using it on our camper's roof mounted dome dish .... my thinking was it might shed road grime and such to the point that I don't have to get up there and clean it as often .... in talking with a friend who has used it, he says it work to shed water but does leave a white film .... now I can't help but wonder if the film might have an impact on signal reception

George, I'm inclined to agree with you. My home dish (DirecTV, not under a cover) loses signal sometimes _before_ storms actually hit. I think it's the amount of moisture aloft more than the water on the dish. I'm guessing a coating like that on a dish cover won't do any harm but may not help much if any.

As a 20 year satellite TV user both at home and on the road, I doubt the never wet on the dome would hurt or help. The rain fade (or here in MN snow fade) is usually caused by an intense storm a short distance away or directly over you, not a wet dish. I don't think it will hurt and am considering it for our home dish to maybe help with snow accumulation on it.

This stuff has been around for a while now and available with lots of different labels, Rustoleum is one of them. I've read several forums where it has been used from gardening to motorcycles to home improvement and the consensus seems to be that it works for a while but you will need to reapply it now and then. How often depends on usage, but it is not permanent.

You can't waterproof a basement wall, for instance, but if you spray the bottom of your Jeep before you go off-road, it will wash very easily. I think painting a sat dome is a great use if you count on doing it now and again.

I've seen the commercial several times and often wondered how it would do on the camper or my truck? I've also wondered how much it cost and how far it spreads?
