Thank you for posting both times.

We're headed to Yellowstone later this summer and I noticed that the NPS strongly suggests carrying bear spray with you while hiking, as indicated in their 2013 park newspaper (available online.) I'd been thinking maybe we'll need it ... but sounds like we shouldn't ever leave it in a hot vehicle. Maybe the smart thing is to hand it off to a new arrival when we leave bear country.
