Welcome to the forum. You would do better if you start a new thread instead of tagging onto someone else thread. When you do, give details, lots and lots of details.
RV brand and model?
Battery?
Converter brand and model?
Full symptoms?
When did it begin?
What was the last thing done to the RV previously?
We are happy to help but we aren't mind readers. :B - rdanserExplorerBattery is only 2 yrs old and I did make sure it was fully charged when I first discovered this issue. I did also check the voltage coming into the fuse and get 13.3v not sure how to get the amperage.
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerI don't know what anyone else would do, but in a matter of 8 hours I would be driving out of that dealer's lot with ANOTHER trailer in tow. Sounds like you have something colored yellow that you squeeze and make juice with. If a dealer who makes thousands upon thousands of dollars per sale does not have enough respect for his customer base and just pawns off parked units without checking them out thoroughly then something is wrong. A one hour check-out can prove more than 5-dozen "most commonly found fouled up systems".
Another rig time. - jmckelvyExplorerIf you have a regular battery charger laying around the house put that on the RV battery to charge it. After the battery is charged try replacing the fuse and see if it still blows. This would eliminate the possibility that the converter is trying to push more than 20 amps into a severely discharged battery. If the fuse still blows something else is not right.

- rje1448ExplorerThanks everyone. I crawled back underneath today in the daylight. I opened up the junction box that is right next to the fuse that is in question. The junction box obviously is where the breakaway switch, and battery meet the rest of the wires in the camper.
Not being much of an electrician, there are far too many wires in that junction box to see what the fuse is hooked in to.
The battery is hooked up correctly. Red on + and white on -.
I think my only option is take it to a repair person.
Here is my question with that... I am going on a 3 day camping trip this weekend and will not be able to get it repaired by then. I will be camping with electric and will not need the battery. Will I be risking a bigger problem by using it before fixing it? - beemerphile1Explorer

You have a 35 amp converter trying to go through a 20 amp fuse. change it to a 40 amp fuse. Somebody at the factory was an idiot ( not unusual sadly :( )
This is NOT the cause. You are confusing Power Converter AMP rating with actual charge amps. The charge amps is NOT 35 amps.
:h The 35 in the model number 8735 means the converter has the capability to put out 35 amp +/-. - notevenExplorer IIIStop by your selling dealer, ask "should I be shutting off the propane when there is fire coming from the wiring panel in that new trailer I picked up 3 days ago?" Smile when asking...
Now that you have their attention plug in to shore power at the dealer, blow the fuse, install the same fuse which is what they did, blow it again, and ask them politely to fix the issue. - A Failed fuse is one of two things.
1. SHORT
2. EXCESS current draw
The refer would have NEVER caused this problem--NEVER.
Are you POSITIVE (I don't trust the dealer as they stated the refer caused the problem), that the Battery wiring IS correct and on the correct posts? Doug BFL13 wrote:
