I don't recall seeing many galvanized tanks after the 70's. As previously noted, the pump has 1975 date on it.

I would say it's a water pump. When you turn on your waterpump, do you hear any noise coming from that pump?

If it is a tank, no doubt it's the drinking water safe galvanized steel, and soldered on the seams with lead solder. UYuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

It is a water pump, but for what?!

What is under the floor? Obvious there is a wheel well, but what is the other galvanized cover on the right hiding? generator?

It is using flare fittings for gas lines , like propane, but definitely not pressurized propane given the hoses and clamps. Looks like PO used old parts he found on his work bench. It is just pumping liquid. It could be a drain. Im guessing you would have identified your water system's water pump and eliminated this as a fresh water pump for sink/shower.

The two lines on the right are curious. I assume the pump flows right to left?

Looks like a very old trailer with a tin fresh water tank, that is what the pump is connected to, the other likely a wheel well.

I'd bet it just penetrates that box and the box is just a box, which contains the city water connection. The line connected to the same T is the system pressure line, the copper line going to other side of pump is the suction line from the tank.

What year is this trailer ? Older than the pump ? If that galvanized thing on the right is a water tank, you may want to replace that too.

Yep - water pump. One line draws from what appears to be a holding tank. The other might be an external line for winterizing (hard to tell). The copper line is likely a supply line to the rest of the camper.
