Coleman Roadtrip, Hook To Low Pressure

I have read all the threads here that I can find and still can't find an answer to my problem. I want to remove my regulator and hook my Roadtrip to the low pressure line on my 5th Wheel. I know I can hook it to the tanks with an adaptor leaving the regulator in place but they're on the wrong end and on the wrong side of the camper.

I have found ways to do this with the newer models but mine is an older model and the regulator is a quick connect instead of a screw on type. I found this post with a picture where Gene and Ginny hooked theirs up with clamps.

I have the same type regulator system but wanted to screw pieces together instead of clamping. I'm guessing that since it's very low pressure that it works ok and I may have to do the same but would rather not. There is a male coupler just inside of the grill that the regulator clamps on and I'm going to see if I can find anything that will take it's place.

If anybody has been through this before on this particular regulator I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know how you did it and pictures would really help.

Thanks,
Danny
