- That is the number for the regulator.
There is another circuit board above the opening for the regulator. The remote cord plugs directly into it. It is behind the fuse and start/stop switch. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerStart with the simple to do chores. Many times it can reduce blood pressure and embarrassment...
Contact Cleaner. The only brand that works
Take apart the chassis plug that connects to your genset. Use the needle tip on the D100 bottle to put a single drop of cleaner on the sockets side then on the pins side. - dclarke618ExplorerEmblethen,
I can't read the whole number but I can see 305-0851----CS-07143
The model number is 4KYFA26100G. I took apart the connectors and cleaned them the bust I could but still won't turn over from the inside switches - OP advised that the genset starts from switch on the unit. That means it is getting power to the genset. Power to the remote switch comes from internal connection in genset.

That is not always the case. My RV has the juice to operate the generator and its switches from the house batteries. That way, a single battery going dead does not disable both the vehicle engine and the generator. - chainegangExplorerThe juice to operate the internal start switch comes from the engine battery as does the switch on the generator. The generator switch gets it's signal separetly than the switch inside the motor home. That internal switch usually has a connection starting at the starter junction. Since the starter is usually at the lower portion of the engine, corrosion occurs more rapidly than other locations. The wire needed to provide the internal convience of starting the genset is small an it's connection is probably a small eyelet at the end of the wire and affixed the a screw and nut onto the starter master connection terminal. The likely problem as I see it, is that the wire connection at the eyelet is corroded and althought still connected is not sufficiently solid. That will become troublsome as it may once in a while have enought of a connection to pass current and at other times give you this headache. Examine that area closely and I think you will discover your problem there. Easy fix. New connection.
- I found a troubleshooting chart for the circuit board. It wants the circuit board number. Such as 300-3763-01
The fuse is shown as a 5 amp slo-blo - dclarke618ExplorerI started it from the gen set and turned it off from the inside and problem still exists. There are 2 remote switches and neither one works so I'm guessing its not eh switches.
I'll check on the series and spec letter and get back. It may not be until tomorrow, getting dark and thunderstorm moving in.
Thanks - My book does not give the wire colors.
The fuse could look good but still be open. Fuse 1 provides power to the remote operator. These are odd fuse!
Service manual troubleshooting.
1) control fuse bad replace
2) if engine cranks at set but not at remote control panel, fault is due to:
a pc board p2/j2 connection not secure
b open circuit in remote control
c remote start switch faulty
Another thing you may try:
Start genset from the unit, then go inside and shut it down. Then see if it will start from inside. Latching relays can do strange things.
What is the series of your genset and what spec letter? - dclarke618Explorerenblethen,
Any idea what color the wire would be on the remote panel?
Thanks
