I am looking for a quiet bathroom fan/vent. It will have to be 12 volt because the cheap fan that is what the current one runs on. I been looking at the Maxxair but don't really know anything about it. I want to leave it on overnight to be able to pull some air through the MH.

I have.
Oh. Well the MaxxAire Turbo that is mounted outside with minimal work to put it in should do the trick in pulling out the air thru out your MH. AND because the fan is outside IMHO it is the quietest fan on the market. 3 speeds, thermostat and reverses to exhaust.
I installed one in a 31ft MH and in seconds it recirculates the air and actually acts as a nice fan when it's pulling air out because it really creates quite a breeze inside!
In your case having only one vent all you will need to do is open a window so it can suck the air from it. It will work just the same as if you had two vents.
Here is a REAL GOOD detailed explanation how to install it with pictures. AND the guy installed in the bathroom like you want to!!:C

Good Luck! I just called a local RV Mobile Repair to install mine. The guy came out and had it done in less than an hour. While I sat and watched him from my lawn chair. - BrianinMichiganExplorerI have a small motorhome. The bathroom vent is the only one
I have. - tragusa3ExplorerI installed two of the Vortex for less than one of the better options. They do feel built cheaply, but I suspect will do the job for years.
Having one on either end of the trailer gives several options. One we like is to have the bedroom blowing in the trailer and the bathroom exhausting. It keeps a strong flow of cool night air coming down on us.
Like I said, they don't feel that quality. They are noisier, but that's not a negative for us...we run sound machines at night anyway. - I installed the 3 speed Fantastic Vent. Took maybe 90 minutes. In hindsight I think the remote control would have been convenient for some instead of the reaching high for the switches.
I am sure the Maxxair is just as good. - rockhillmanorExplorer II
Wow, a lot of quick replies. Any one quieter than another? This will be near the bed and I can't handle " white noise " while I'm sleeping. also I want to have it on while it's raining.....

I went with the MaxxAir Turbo Fan because the fan is on the 'outside' of the RV. You do NOT even hear it running. I mounted it on the front vent. And when you run the fan in the front and open the rear vent it's like a tornado. I love it. It's fully covered and can be used when it is raining.
I do have to ask why you want to put it in the "bathroom"? :?
Why not in the rear or front vent opening?
If you put it in the bathroom you will HAVE to remember to shut it off each and every time you use the toilet or it will suck up sewer gas real bad when you flush.
I've never heard of anyone putting it the bathroom vent opening. Especially if you want to use it to recycle the air in the RV. - BrianinMichiganExplorerAlso any of these brushless or are they all brush motors. The three speed Fan tastic fan 4000 series is what I am currently looking at.

A friend installed a Fantastic Fan type in his bath and noticed, with the majorly increased air flow that when he flushed the toilet it pulled the smell into the rig. Also needed to make sure there was a good water seal in the bowl or it would do the same without flushing.
It wouldn't stop me from doing it but just something to keep in mind.
If you have any good fan regardless of make and installed anywhere on a trailer (bedroom, kitchen,or living area) running in exhaust mode without any windows etc open in trailer which will result in a slight vacuum and you open the flush valve on the toilet it will draw gases from the black tank. - AlmotExplorer III

That is likely to happen with a good exhaust fan no matter what the model. It even happens a little with the grossly inefficient little fan that came stock on mine.
Agreed. Faulty flap lets odors in, fan is just spreading it around. To reduce smell, run the fan on exhaust, and only before and after you've flushed it. Not when flashing. - TurnThePageExplorerLike an other poster, I opted for the Vortex install. Install is straight forward simple and doesn't require climbing on the roof. I also added a variable speed control (which coincidentally is also the noise controller). It works great. Way more than enough air movement.
