I found that Napp has an SKF bearing that they keep in stock. Part number FW115 with steel seal's and there only $43.99. My self, I replaced the axle's with Dexter Ez-lube hub's. After reading up on the nev-r-lube bearing and the failure rate. I want to go on vacation not to find out the axle's are junk. Every dealer I spoke with said pretty much the same thing. There nothing but trouble and if you can, get rid of them. So I did. I ended up working with Tex Trail in Ocala, Fl. on rt-441. They bent over backward's to help. If your in the area, 1-800-259-8712.. Found them on the Dexter web site.

So you removed your axles because of what you have read on the internet, what about all of us that have never reported any problems. I did change ours out at 8 years and 75K miles because one was running warm but it was still within end play limits. I like the Nev-R-Lub because I don't have deal with grease. Dealers don't like them because they can't service them so it's less money in their pocket. Denny

Before I used that NAPA bearing I would check the weight rating, I used Dexter replacement bearings.Denny

Please provide the link(s) you read to come to the conclusion that there is an abnormal bearing failure rate for axles with Nev-r-lube bearings since I haven't seen those.

The part number from the op is for a 42 mm bearing. The never lube bearing for my 7k axles calls for a 50mm bearing.

Sealed bearing units are common on cars these days. It isn't uncommon for them to go well over 100,000 miles. Why should a trailer be any different.

I don't use them on trailers, but that doesn't mean that they aren't any good.

Times change.

Seven years with WV to Disney/Key West once, Myrtle Beach three times, Virginia Beach twice and countless other trips. I estimate about 15,000 miles worth and not a problem here.

Save your money to replace something that's broke.

Never Lube is one area where there are few, if any, negative issues; lots of comments about EZ lube mostly over greasing and grease getting behond the seals. And the OP went from Never Lube to EZ lube based on comments (on this forum?). Too bad he did not share where he read up on the negative Never Lube comments.
