What color is for 50:1 mix? what about 40:1?
REDAsk a stupid question, get a stupid answer.
By the way, you CAN often run just ONE mix, 50:1 is a more "modern" mix for EPA sake..
You can run 40:1 instead of 50:1 giving the engine a bit more lubrication which can prolong the life of the engine..
I simply have a 2.5 gallon can that I put my 2 cycle mix in, it IS CLEARLY LABELED BY ME to indicate the mix ratio and that it is two cycle mix..
A splash of 2 cycle mix in a regular gas engine won't hurt it and should not be an issue..
But once again, two cycle mix in a Diesel can destroy a lot of expensive parts..
Something else that no one has mentioned, the color coding IS rather helpful for FIRE DEPARTMENTS when dealing with potential fire hazards while on a call..
