Start with an ohmmeter at the 7 way on the trailer. Check the blue wire which is #2. It should be about 1 ohm to ground the #1 white wire. If it is less then look and see if the wiring at the axles have scotchlock connectors. If it does remove them and check for grounds on each wire. Only the white wire comming from the pin box should be ground. All the others now should show infinity to ground. Use a good waterproof crimp connector when you remake the connections. I have found a heat shrink solderless connector made by 3M at wallmart.
