Roof membrane bubbles

Any advice for gluing bubbles? I have no leaks, so far.

  • I leave them alone. It doesn't affect the leak-resistance.

The bubbles are common and will not hurt anything. I know this because I asked these same questions 12 years ago and since then I have read this many times. I have had no issues what so ever.
Just check them once in a while to make sure they aren't growing exponentially.

    +1

Leave them alone, I have had bubbles on my roof since purchasing the RV in 2008 and they aren't getting worse.

Funny thing is over the course of the year they come and go along with the outside temps

Use a larger hypodermic needle and inject a liquid sealer of some type compatible with the membrane underneath the membrane.

Why would you put holes in a membrane that has its complete integrity???? It depends on the size and where the bubbles are. If you have bubbles around ANY Dicor sealant, that is normal. If you have bubbles in various areas around the roof, it depends on the size and if they expand and contract with the outside temp. Some EPDM roofs will have some bubbles depending on a lack of enough glue when they installed it. But if just small bubbles, do not put any holes of glue in the membrane. If you reseal areas on a EPDM rood with Dicor, THAT will cause small bubbles that recede over time and is normal. Doug
