sulfur smelling water and frig is freezing food

I have a well. using the straight well water will have that sulfur smell. I have a softener and I use that water to fill my tank. Never any smell from that.

That may be true, but when saying your refrigerator is too cold, you need a higher (warmer) setting, not a lower (colder) setting.

O degrees is lower (colder) than 32 degrees.

True if discussing 'degrees of temperature'

OP stated .......lowest setting (which would be 1 and that is warmest setting)

OP...look inside your food section----see the probe attached to fin?
IF not attached to fin fridge is running continuously freezing food section.....reinstall probe in clip on fin (Thermistor)
If Dometic....far right fin
If Norcold....10th fin from right

Sulfur smell....
Could be from water heater......drain/flush and treat with chlorine (replace anode if Suburban Brand)

Also check that your trailer battery is not source of sulfur smell.
Overcharging/boiling over------low water level---converter charging too much.
Batteries under those conditions will smell like sulfur also.

The H2S smell comes from bacteria in the water source, or the water lines or the water tanks. This is common when filled from a well supply, since its not normally chlorinated like city water.
You need to disinfect the entire system, including the hot water tank and each branch & fixture. Just draining & refilling does not get rid of the bacteria. It will get worse until you disinfect with diluted bleach or chlorine.

There are 2 models of Dometic. YOU have the Auto temp and that is the one you slide the inside Thermister mount up and down on the fin. THAT only changes the preset by no more than 4 degrees up or down. The OP from what he stated has a Manual adjust thermistor and has 1-5, 1 being the warmest. IF the refer will freeze, you check and make sure the Thermister is indeed installed on the right hand Evaporator fins. If it is hanging down it will run the refer full cool and freeze. IF the Thermister is installed correctly, and it freezes, the Thermister is defective and needs replaced. Doug

I took out the anode rod in the water heater and filled the hole with a brass ball valve to easly drain the tank. No more smell, ever Did that in 2007 and hater is still with me.

Isn't there a temperature adjustment in the refrigerator? My domestic has a sensor that you move on the cooling fins inside.
