Removing microwaves is a straight foreword job. In the cupboard or cabinet above it you will find where it is plugged in. Unplug it. Next look, you will see two philips head screws on the floor or the cabinet. Remove them. Either have someone hold the microwave up or be prepared. They are heavy and akward. Once the screws are out, tip towards you to about 45 degrees and lift off the bracket.
What you stated is true for a Stick home mount but it is MORE detailed on a RV mount. RV's they MUST install extra screws to secure the top of the M/W to the overhead cabinet. If they did not install those extra screws, the M/W would eventually crack the rear wall mount plate from vibration and the unit would fall off the wall. The only exception to those extra screws are M/W that have the 2 standard mount screws that come down from the top overhead cabinet into the top of the M/W, which usually is in Towables, not Motorhomes due to clearance issues. Every RV microwave I have had to deal with are mounted exactly the same as household. The only exception MIGHT be one or two extra screws somewhere.
Well, I do not know how many or what you do for a living. BUT, I have been an RV tech and current for 37 years and NONE on the hundreds of over the counter M/W's I have removed and reinstalled had ONLY the Standard mount bolts. ALL have had the extra screws I stated and had them for the reason I posted. FYI, when UNDER warranty, the M/W repair people that come out will NOT remove an RV M/W, because of the extra screws. They have us or the customer do it if the customer knows how. Same with residential refers in the RV's. They will not remove mounting bolts and screws on those refers. We or the customer has to do it. Doug
