Actually, if you really want to be insulted, it was a 6.0 Ford.... - RollingRockTXExplorer

I enjoyed the video though! :)

Yeah I am still here - LessmoreExplorer IIThese 'matches' are to use a word I rarely use...stupid. Why anyone would abuse a piece of machinery like this is nuts.
Tug of wars with vehicles is about superior traction, wise application of power and timing. - HannibalExplorerLife is so much better when you lighten up and laugh a little. I can't afford to abuse my trucks or cars like that but, I can enjoy watching others who can afford to do it. I watch NASCAR races too. Nothing like the "big one" on the last lap!

Almost as stupid as towing a Space Shuttle with a Toyota.
Are your under drawers still bunched up about that? It was years ago. On top of that it didn't damage the Tundra or the Space Shuttle. Its okay... deep breaths. - ib516Explorer IIStatic vs kinetic friction. Static is always greater.
I enjoyed the video though! :) - maxwell11ExplorerI looked at it for a second
but I had to work so hard to get my old truck or anything I ever had, so it just goes negative on me to see some one trying to tear there equipment up for no reason.
if your axx was in a ditch, I would try to help you get out, but never just try to tear up my old dodge for no reason.

Last week I tied onto a 145,000 lb B-train that was stuck in the mud. It's amazing what you can do with a good tow strap and a little truck if your not afraid to use it.
So you slammed into the end of the strap then floored it and "rolled coal" with your deleted modded chipped sooper deezil pickup? :D:D
Rolling coal hasn't got much to do with it. After hooking up at least a 6 inch tow strap (the 4 inch will sometimes just break) you leave lots of slack; fasten the seat belt; back the semi up a little if it will move; when the semi starts to engage his clutch to go forward you want to be hitting the end of the tow strap at about 20 mph. The little bit of traction that the pickup has is usually not enough to prevent the tow strap from recoiling the pickup backwards the times that the big truck stays stuck. - RDMuellerExplorerSo how many miles did these idiots take off of their tires in 30 seconds?
- RCMAN46ExplorerMy guess is the Rams had manual transmissions. The Ford had an auto.
In this type of a situation an auto will win most of the time.
Much easier to control the power delivery with an auto than a manual.
You can see where the first Ram spooled up his turbo. That was totally not needed as a diesel can easily put down enough power to break traction without the need of a turbo.
Watch the cars at a drag strip. The ones that break traction by putting too much power down at the start line will almost always lose the race.
