So just because people keep blindly buying a product does not make it a good product.
How many 6.0's and 6.4's did Ford produce over that 9 or 10 year span? Now, of all those diesels, how many had problems? I bet it was a small percentage of trucks. Might be a large number, but its an overall small percentage. Now... with the 6.0 failures, how many involved vehicles with some type of chip or other performance "upgrades"?
At the end of the day, Ford sold several million 6.0 and 6.4 diesels. They have a lot of satisfied customers who never came on the internet to hear the loud minority complain about a few problems. I have several friends with 6.0 and 6.4's that have had ZERO problems over hundreds of thousands of miles driving and towing.
