That is why there are other brands and different trim levels. I personally find most Chrysler seating uncomfortable especially on long drives. Oddly enough, I find the lower level Chrysler seats much better for my behind.
I think the seats are comfortable I just think they are too high in the truck. With them all the way down they are higher than my 2005's all the way up. I like sitting low. Every time I get in I still try to lower the seat knowing dang well it's already all the way down. Heck, when I'm driving a semi, I leave all the air out of the seat. LOL! I still say the most comfortable seat I ever had in a truck is the 1993 F350 extended cab I had with the captains chairs with the 5 speed hand shaker and 7.3 Turbo (Pre-Powerstroke). I slept a many a mile behind the wheel of that truck. HAHAHA!!!
For me it seems like the seat bottom is just not the right length/depth for me. On the Jeep GC the seam between the side bolsters and the seat bottom pinch my legs. This is on the higher trim levels. I find the lower trim levels very comfortable. Some of these issues don't really present until after 4+ hours behind the wheel. And not everyone puts that much time in one sitting in their vehicles. - transamz9Explorer

Yeah gauges are fine. Mine are just like yours except says Limited where yours says Longhorn. It's the colors they use in the Longhorns I don't like. I don't like light colored interiors.
The Limited gauges are A LOT better than the Longhorn. Hell, even the Laramie gauges are better without all that tribal crud. I am with you on the light interior. Even without the tribal it makes me throw up in my mouth a little. Same with the King Ranch interior in the Fords.
If you are calling Tribal the designs in the leather seats and doors then my Limited has that too just not as much on the seats. It don't stick out as much as in the Longhorn but it's there. My gauges have it though. - mich800Explorer

I have spent PLENTY of time raising farm animals. There is NO comparison between the LongHorn and any other trim level. Actually the Limited is just as high of quality.
I had full intentions of buying a Laramie with leather until I sat in my parents LongHorn.
You're right, none are on the same ugly level as the Longhorn trim or trying too hard seem so Cadillac/Urban cowboyish.
I was going to buy a Laramie Longhorn too...until I sat in one. Those gauges and the tribal...bleh!
I don't like the Longhorn trim either. That's why I got the Limited.
There are different LongHorn interiors. This is a relatives. Gauges look good to me, mine!

"my guess is that Ford widened the spacing on their puck system for 2017"
It appears to be the same.
If thats true it will probably drive Andersen Hitch company crazy, as they are coming out with the puck system Andersen Ultimate fifth wheel hitch that will fit all three, Ford, Gm, and Ram fifth wheel hitch preps.
Looks like they will have to market two different hitches for Ford if the 2017 is changed. So far as I know Ram will be staying the same on the the fifth wheel prep.
I will have to assume Andersen's weight rating will not be to your liking :) - transamz9Explorer

"See, you finally got it. B&W can't make a hitch rated at 25K for Ford and others can. It only took you about 5 posts to figure it out."
Just spoke to B&W my side to side mimi shock absorber that has a small leak. They are sending me out a new one today.
I asked about the 20K Puck system rating on the Ford and GM's. They said they test to the weakest component as in puck attachment and base footprint. RAM has the strongest frame/puck attachment and largest base so they were able to give it a 25K rating. They could not give the other two more than 20K as their stringent testing and high standards would not allow it.
Thanks for confirming they are not able to build a higher rated capacity hitch like other manufactures are.
I guess you did not read what I wrote. It has nothing to do with hitch strength. They test the whole system and their tests show an inferior puck system compared to RAM.
But hey if you really want to trust a number on a Chinese Made hitch go for it.
It shows it is SAE compliant, you know the thing you like to keep saying about your truck.
Here is a print out from Tweety's on a 26.5 Reese for the inferior Ford puck system.
Quick, easy hookup with a wide funnel area, 4-way pivoting head and a self-latching jaw that wraps around the king pin for maximum security. This hitch is a custom fit for the 2011 Ford Super duty with the Hitch Prep Package, or for other trucks, there is a custom under-bed rail system sold separately.
•Rated for 26,500 lbs. capacity / 6,625 lbs. pin weight capacity
•Increased king pin/jaw contact design, king pin indicator, and self latch jaw
•4 degree side to side pivot for better control
•Vertically adjusts from 15" to 17-1/2"
•Wider footprint for increased stability
•Vehicle specific under bed mounting kits (sold separately)
•90 degree Wiring harness included (50-97-410)
•SAE J2638 Compliant
•Limited Lifetime Warranty
I know, maybe B&W can make that shop vac since they can't make a bigger hitch.
OK you win! - Cummins12V98Explorer III
