Do you know how much a Gulfstream burns in fuel / hour? I do. It's almost 2 TONS of fuel an hour. Yes, I said tons!

On this one 9.5 hour flight he used around 38,000 lbs of fuel! Or rounding about 19 tons of fuel! Tons!

Unlike my truck, his toy jet has no pollution control systems at all. NONE.

I would have to drive my truck for years to burn what this world saver did in one day!

About time the fan boi's start seeing and acknowledging things like this.

Well I don't have the money to make my own laws to pollute as I please like Elon does. He doesn't need to protest because he has the money and time to make the laws suit him.

There is no need to defeat EPA regulations if you can just lobby them to make the rules to suit you so that you can make even more money. That is the only difference here. Elon is allowed to emit millions of times more than these diesel brother's because he has enough power and money to change the laws for his needs while the diesel brothers(and the rest of us common people) don't.

The government, lead by an activist who has been caught lying many times before, is demanding that the manufacturers meet a number, but did not think to consider or reevaluate whether or not what it took to meet that number created more pollution when all things are considered like the creating of the DEF industry and all of the plastic containers. Fining someone for purposely rolling coal is one thing that you and I can agree on. However, I will not agree with you that the EPA made the best choice for the people and the planet when it comes to diesel emissions regulations over the years. Some was needed like the 92 and 98 regulations, but after 2004, what it took to get to these numbers did more harm than good especially when you consider that the differences between the 2004 and current numbers is so small. Less than 2 g/bhp/hr for PM and less than 1 g/bhp-hr for NOx. Direct injected gas engines emit more PM than the 2004 diesel laws, but they are given a pass since the regulations for gas engines allow them to emit more.

The idea long ago was fullfilling public service was a duty, like joining the military. You do your term, do your part, and go back and live within the laws you helped enact. However when your permenant job becomes politics, a huge perspective is lost. Citizens, when their representatives achieve positions on powerful committees, bringing things back to their area (bridge to no where for example), many dont want to lose "their guy" and so "forever" legislatures are born. I am perplexed how these people earn millions of dollars in politics. Many become multimillionares while in "service" to their country. Their wages are not that significant to account for that kind of increase.

I hear you LOL. But our government is not very responsive to the populous. Part of the problem is voter apathy.
Part of it is corporate sponsorship. But a large part of it is the lack of term limits. I think all politicians start out looking to genuinely make a difference. But 10-15 years later they no longer respond to the people and have enough corporate connections and donations that they no longer need to respond to the people.
