2,000 BAR (around 29,000 PSI) requires some very expensive stuff...that is the
output diesel pressure from the CP4
the way the CP4 pump crank/cam and cam follower is pure dumb @$$ design and
made worse by the band-aide DLC (diamond like carbon) coating...which will NOT
allow the lube (diesel) to coat (wet or film) the cam/DLC surface...as diamond
is the best non-stick material known to mankind
Got worse when found that Bosch did NOT capture the piston to the
cam follower (think of your piston with no bottom cap for the rod)
It hammers itself into dust particles
The particles (now in combo with diamond dust) will be forced through the
filters to ruin everything diesel touches....and....since a return line...it will
back feed the pump again and again during the initial failure until it grenades
Thanks 45Ricochet...found another forum fed by this portal and here is where
I really into this and learned a ton on this CP4 issue. Wish I could
find the first one though
