I am willing to buy made in Canada or made in USA
If the money is going to a union which in turn will use it to get some libtard elected then I say Hecho en Mexico. Got a lot of family from Mexico since my uncle was a missionary and married a Mexican woman. I also have family that migrated there from Germany in the late 19th century. What people don't understand is that Mexico is just as much of a cultural melting pot as the US is, and they only believe Mexicans are brown. This is completely false. There are German-Mexicans, Irish-Mexicans, French-Mexicans, Polish-Mexicans, and so on. 4x4ord wrote:

I agree... My wifes Ford Edge Sport was built in Canada.- 4x4ordExplorer IIII am willing to buy made in Canada or made in USA but I seldom consider things made in North America to measure up to the quality of made in Japan or made in Germany. The workmanship that some Canadian trades people put into building houses, for example, is often embarrassing.

NO auto today has all is parts made in the US. Get over it. The Power Stroke diesel is built/assembled in Mexico is an example.
I remember being concerned when I purchased my first HONDA that was assembled in the USA. It did have a Delco Battery!!!

We get it... Just like your cummins engine block is casted in Mexico.
Having said that it's very important to purchase from an American company and that I can say I'm very proud of.- spud1957Explorer

I think that everyone on this forum is aware of that since you Ram boys remind everyone at every chance.
Full disclosure: Ram Eco-diesel is built/assembled in Italy.
Also if the Power Stroke comment was a shot across my bow, you wasted your shot. My engine was built and assembled in Sharonville OH. :) - Me_AgainExplorer IIINO auto today has all is parts made in the US. Get over it. The Power Stroke diesel is built/assembled in Mexico is an example.

Chris - travelnutzExplorer IIspud1957,
You are so right. Tranny components are made offshore and imported as goods in process and assembled at Kokomo, Indiana. Aisin is Toyota Seiki owned in Japan.
Cummins12V98, likes to spread it thick and plays games with many things just like FCA does. You really have to read the fine print and the deceptive wording. - spud1957Explorer

Truth, the AISIN is Made in USA. Largest transmission manufacturer in the world. Does that make them the best, NO! Their track record puts them Very high on the totem pole.
Interesting picture. You have always stated the Aisin is "Made in the USA" and it was tagged with that label stating that. Seems that is not the case.
FTC has a whole bunch of rules which allows manufacturers to state a product is made in the USA. It's obvious that the majority of the parts of the aisin are foreign and that would be why they state manufactured NOT made.
"Manufactured" and "Made" are not the same in the eyes of the FTC. Read up on it sometime. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

DUH!
Where are Ram Aisin Transmissions made and who owns them? Aisin Transmissions not the rest of the drive train! Toyota Seiki!

One of many and in black and white print and very clear!
You think there is no foreign ownership of GM's or Allison? Aisin is American Manufactured and American workers are employed. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

" I'm toying with the idea of ordering a new 2017 as my forever truck"
I would advise waiting til 2019, new truck same 6.7 but ALL emissions will be downstream of the engine and will no doubt blow the others away in the real world of towing.
While that may be true, I'd still wait a few years to see how reliable it is. My dad and I both got burned on the first generation 6.7 with DPF/SCR. I'm not saying it will definitely have issues but I am saying that I'm not willing to test it for them in real life especially if I planned to buy it as my "last" truck.
Not worried, I bought the first year of the Factory Rear Aire Ride with no issues running at full RAWR. They have been working on this I know for a fact since Summer 2016 and no doubt before. Clean engine, I will take my chances. Besides they have 100K warranty.
