- fla-gypsyExplorerWhat a bunch of schoolyard bunk. Y'all are going to believe and buy what you want anyway, so what does it matter about a survey they may or may not be biased?

Sorry Engineer, my bad, I misunderstood.
I guess what I meant when I asked "does it matter" was intended to point to the idea that you are happy with your truck results of surveys should matter very little.
I am happy with my trucks. If I were not I would sell them. All of the awards, surveys, and media tests are of only a tiny value to me. - Engineer9860Explorer

The next time I see you broke down on the side of the road on a 22° snowy day I'll be sure to drive right on by.
I would hate for you to be in a position that might force you to compromise your most basic principles. - NC_HaulerExplorer

Hey, alright, thanks for the value added post...believe you'll be ok, because, I doubt what you said would have to happen first , will never happen... - NC_HaulerExplorerSorry Engineer, my bad, I misunderstood.

Try getting the truth.
Who do they ask? I have NEVER been asked to do a survey by JD Powers...so do they cover every owner in the USA or just "pick and choose"....hey, I agree with most of their picks...unlike Consumers report...but at almost 64 yrs of age and owning ALL the new cars that I have, one would think at sometime, I would have been asked by someone other than the manufacturer of my vehicle...
Does it matter?
If they take a random survey odds are the same that they will find a happy owner, a disgruntled owner, and everyone in between regardless of what the item being reviewed is.
I got three surveys when I bought my last new truck and didn't return a single one. I have never received any surveys for my washer and dryer, my John Deere riding mower, my refrigerator, my weed eater, my chain saw......
If you really want to know how they survey you could ask them in an e-mail. They have a contact us link on their website.
No, it's not that important . I just asked thinking one might know. Wasn't trying to be a smart aleck, just genuinely curious...sorry to have bothered you with the question.
Maybe you misunderstood my tone.
Basically all I was saying is that I can't help, because I don't have the answer to your question. - camperforlifeExplorerI've received JD Power surveys on my last 2 GMC's and my Acura and I returned both. I get a survey from Acura about every 6 months. I think GMC gets higher ratings than Chevy because of dealer experience. I know the follow up I get from the local GMC dealer is far above what my FIL gets from the local Chevy dealer.

I have been sent a survey by JD Power for my 2011 Kia Optima. It even included a $1 bill for my time to do the survey. Took about 15 mins and asked about any warranty service that had been done on the car and overall satisfaction. - NC_HaulerExplorer
