SO OP is UNDER trucks F/R Axle Ratings, GVWR and GCVWR

BUT that is all that can be determined from weights posted

Truck/Trailer w/o WDH weights and Truck only weights will give the complete picture (how much weight is being transferred to F/R axles and tongue weight)

But those weights were not posted

I agree with this assessment however the most important weight is the tongue wt which at this point is unknown from the scale weights we have.

I took his first set of axle weights to be actual scale weights, not ratings. Apparently it reads differently to others. Never mind.

As you can see, you can use the scales to determine a lot of information by making several trips and weighing different combinations.

All of this is interesting but what I am interested in is.
+ Am I within the vehicle's max cargo rating with the TT hitched up and loaded for the road.
+ Is each axle within its weight rating with the rig combination road ready and within the allowable combined weight.
+ How much did the truck weight change when I added that TT. This gives me the effective tongue weight with the WD hitch.

To do this I weigh the truck, then weigh the truck and trailer when both are ready for the trip.

Over time I have found that both the tongue weight and TT weight is trip dependent and can easily vary by several hundred pounds depending upon what I am hauling how it is loaded.

It's late, and Im tired, and might be missing something.... BUT

Your first section says truck combined weight (front and rear axle) is 7325 lbs (3525 steer, 3800 drive)

Are the above axle weights actual weights or GAWR?

Then, after you loaded with wood etc... and presumably hooked up the trailer, your new weight is 6860 (3260 steer and 3600 drive).

So, how do you load up, hook up trailer, and lose weight?

Did I miss something in the explanation?

As stated by others

1) Weigh truck loaded less trailer. Get steer and drive axle weights
2) Hook up trailer, WITHOUT weight distribution setup (get steer, drive and trailer axle weights)
3) Hook up WD bars, and get steer, drive and trailer axle weights.

Then you will know tongue weight, how much tongue weight is being distributed and where.
