I think I would go hire at least one 1, or maybe 2 or 3 independent experts to inspect it and render their opinion in writing. If they all said that the damage is worse than reported by the dealer, you have something solid and credible you can argue with the insurance company. Many dealers aren't knowledgeable about a lot of things and I would not trust their opinion. The last thing you want to happen is to accept the repairs only to find later on that there are issues they did not address.
I don't know if it's possible, but could you get a factory rep to look at it?
On OSB, I think you will find that the type/grade used in RVs does not have an integral treatment or is coated and edge treated to resist mold growth like what is used in framing buildings. If your bed frame is made with OSB you may be able to see the classification printed on it somewhere.

Ok, I have a question now that the trailer is in the dealership and insurance adjusters hands, what concerns should I have. Despite the stories I have heard and the pictures I have seen, the dealership assures me that just a few days of water infiltration are not a big concern typically. They told me they will likely pull the underbelly, fan dry for a few days, spray down with a bleach solution, replace insulation, and button everything back up. I asked if the leach will cause problems with the electrical connections and they said no because it evaporates quickly and they have never had an issue in doing so in years of similar repairs. they will also likely replace the bathroom vanity. The insurance adjuster hasn't been there yet until things get dried up a little so they can assess the condition of the floor.
We had planned on upgrading to something nicer in a few years. How big of a hit will I take on the value? I asked about a warranty on the repair like an insurance company will do on a car repair. They said probably not since their are so many potential causes of water damage that could occur for other reasons down the road. If there is a recommendation of a floor replacement, do you think they will total it? I am also worried about the bottoms of all of the cabinets.what leverage do I have if the tell me things that aren't very reassuring? It seems like I am at their mercy. I am crushed as I sit here canceling all of our reservations trying to explain that the trips we have been planning for months aren't going to happen now. This is sickening. I am trying to stay positive but my wife is a basket case that we n get to ay for five years on a potential nightmare.
