We are planning a trip out west next summer. Rockies, South Dakota, Yellowstone, those sorts of places. Just wondering if anyone has campground suggestions and/or attractions we must see while out there. Please let us know

We prefer to stay IN the national parks for the best experience and best scenery. All of the western national parks are outstanding, in our opinion. Just pick your route and go for it! If you're 62+ be sure to purchase the Senior Pass which will give you 1/2 off on camping fees (if a campground has electric you will pay for that as an extra) and free admission to the parks. It's good for national forest campgrounds, too. Have fun planning and plan to take as much time as you can.

Utah-I spent 1 1/2 months that was not enough,visit:

Flaming Gorge
Dinosaur N.M
Arches N.P
Canyon Land N.P
Canyon Reef N.P
Grand Staircase Escalante N.P
Bryce N.P- OUT STANDING
Zion N.P
South Dakota-
Bad Lands N.P
Dead Wood
Custer S.P (Dancing with the wolfs was shot there)
Take your time it is a lot to see and hike.
Enjoy

Just me and the wife. 35 years old. At this point we are T two weeks time. Hopefully we can stretch it out to,at least three. Really looking forward to it already.

And interest wise just being out doors. Really looking forward to wild life and a few good hikes. Just taking in the scenery

If you make it to Southern Utah, Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Bring a camera with you. Simply stunning.
