Do you have the sliding table with the extension on the wall end? That is what I have in my new cruiser. Mine wobbled so I used wooden shims on the underside of the table in the slide rails. The slide is wood on wood and not very tight. My table is also too high to eat comfortably from. I will probably shorten the base and modify the slide to make it solider.

I don't have a clear picture of your dining table.
Is it free standing or attached to the wall?
In our Fifth wheel it was free standing and the center table leg was level and square. It and chairs were held down in transit with web belts and buckles, to d rings in the floor.
On the MH the table is on a bracket, detachable from its mate on the wall. A whole lot of weight on the wall attachment. It did come loose from the all one time. The bracket is not perfectly square with the table bracket probably due to weight and having to swing it up and detach or attach it at factory or dealer. It has center leg but still wobbles a bit and moves under weight on one end to a little extent. Only thing I can suggest is to make sure the bracket is firmly glued and attached in the wall.
If you have some other arrangement I appologize for answer that won't work.

Have a pair of Lance table legs in our TT as in photo. Very solid and allow top to be removed. The standard OEM table legs are terrible for stability.



Table can be attached to wall using an aluminum RV table bracket. Doing this, you can also use a folding leg to allow the table to be lifted up, but then you'll have screw holes in the floor to deal with. Both available at RV parts vendors. nstalled these in a previous TT along with laminate flooring which covered the screw holes.

As a triple bunk bed trailer we never had a need to convert the table to a bed but using Velcro to secure the table top to the hardwood affixed to the wall offered me the option of removing the table in the future should the need ever arise. No need to make it any more complicated than this. ;)

if I were in that situation I would probably get 2 small pieces of aluminum angle iron and attach it to the wall then the table to the angle. Aluminum is light, won't rust, and easy to cut/drill. You don't need big long screws unless you're planning on standing on the table. :D You just want enough to hold it to the wall and table. Another option would be to try and use industrial velcro to attach it to the pieces if you're shy about putting screws into things. Not sure how stable that would be but easily reversed if it's not stable enough. I bet though that it would at least work to keep the table from rocking.

Is the table secured to the wall with any sort of brackets? Mine (and a number of others I've seen) has a sort of tab latch that flips into a socket attached to the wall, with a heavy wire hinge thingy that holds it up and lets it swing down into berth position when unhooked. The non-wall end has a folding leg. The wall bracket system is adjustable to some degree by loosening some of the screws on the parts and sliding them (they have elongated holes to permit this), and adjusting can take up a good bit of looseness.

It's not as stable as a nice oak library table, say, but there's not much danger of accidentally spilling drinks, at least due to the table rocking. People like me can spill stuff even with the most stable table that scientific progress can produce.

If you don't have a wall bracket, what you're suggesting sounds reasonable to me. Typical wall construction would probably have thin plywood adhered to styrofoam insulation on the inside (or to slight studding and e.g. fiberglass insulation), and any sort of an appropriate anchor that isn't too deep should be fine. Glue is only as strong as wallpaper or whatever is covering the wall, which might be really strong and might not be. Examine how your window treatments etc. are mounted for some ideas on what should work.

SoundGuy, how did you secure it to the wall? I don't want to screw through the exterior or something with super long screws. It looks really good.
