Howdy,My wife are wanting to buy a trailer to go along with the truck camper. We like the truck for long trips where we don't stay long in one spot however we would like to have a 5th wheel for when we camp local and stay for a few days.We looked at a 2009 Jayco Eagle Lite 25.5rks. Everything on it looked to be in pretty good shape. Except the rear exterior wall. My wife noticed two triangular shaped bubbles on the right corner. one near the top and one near the taillight. The bubble is wider at the corner and then narrorws towards the center. About 6 inches tall and 12 inches wide. We pointed them out to the salesman and told him we we concerned it was delamination. He then went on a 5 minutes speech about how the rear wall is made different is made different that the side walls so the rear wall cannot delaminate. He said most rear walls of camper will do this and it's no big deal.Seems to me a leak would have caused these bubbles and it is a big deal. What do you think ?I've added a snapshot of the back wall. Not a very good picture but you can see the bubble near the top

It's a big deal and the salesman is an idiot.Usually that indicates water intrusion and that can lead to the back wall separating from the side walls and or floor damage. A very expensive repair !

The rear wall is usually a different structure than the side walls, but I think further in investigation is needed. It could be just the stickers that are peeling up, or it could go deeper. The rear wall can be replaced relatively easily, but if it is water damage, I would be concerned with they the water did to the frame. If there is wood structure, it may have some rot now.

I'm no expert but probably water leaking in near the eave causing the delammination. If this RV is a must have can't live without I would get a repair person from another company to look at the damage and give a complete repair quote. Including leak if that caused it. Knock that off the asking price. Otherwise I would pass it by. Do not just believe the dealer. He missed it on the trade in or he would have dicounted it. Jayco is a pretty good brand. Doubt they are building RVs that are delaminating. When fiber glass sides started coming out years ago there were delaminating problems and manufacture changed construction methods. I highly suspect this is a leak in the eave.

It is true that some models that have block foam insulation in the side walls, may have just fiber insulation in the rear. Yes, this would make it easier to repair, but still a big deal IMO, and should be discounted to cover a possible repair.Jerry

Get an independent repair service to come take a look. If you really like the rig, best you can do. They will understand the construction and be able to tell you if it is truly an issue, not all rear walls are bonded or aluminum framed over foam.

It's a huge deal. Get on the roof and start feeling all over for soft or crunchy spots for bad wood. Do the same under the slides. Especially around all the corners.

Rear wall are many times plastic sheet over plywood, many times only attached at the edges.

Worth a deeper look, don't blow off a good rig, until you are sure.

Something bad probably caused a partial delam. The salesman is full of it. If they really want to sell the RV, they should probably fix the problem, but then again, they'll probably have some less than knowledgeable buyer come along to take it off their hands.
