Changing to LED Lighting

I thought he wanted to hear from the people that changed over to the LED bulbs. sorry

There are several sources out there. You can use the actual tube replacement for the F15T8WW, or flexible LED strips, or the Tri-Chip LED Tube like I used. The ones I used are the right brightness and Color Temperature (deg. K). As to price, I always figure do it right and not cheap.

I just checked ebay the sellers user name is hqpower. I paid $47.00 for 10 of the 1141 - 1156 replacement bulbs, and ordered 10 dome bulbs that I forgot to get, they were $22.18 my camping catalog has them for $16.89 each. I checked all over and this is the best price that I could find.

I just got 15 of the bulbs from China Saturday, put some of them in my class B & used them Saturday night. I set up at a flea market every weekend with no electric plugin and will give them a real workout, all work ok so far and are real bright. Got them from ebay for about $4 or $5.00 each with free shipping, the same bulbs in my camping catalog are priced at $30.00 . The rest will go in my class A.

Jack and farmer,,,,,go superbrightleds.com, click on boat rv and other lite, click on boat rv replacement bulbs,,click on miniature wedge base bulbs, look at items 7,8,10 etc. I bought only bulbs to replace the 12 volt incandesant not the entire light fixture. I think I bought non polarized bulbs so I would match the socket looking up or down. Take one of your current incandesents get the bulb style number and I seem to remember a conversion chart somewhere in the bulb data base to verify your new bulb. About 12 to 15 dollars per bulb is what they are showing

The only trouble I have had in changing over is that some of the two prong led's don't want to stay in the fixture. I bought some round flat led's to replace some halogen as overhead readers. The brightness is not reduced much, but the vibration of travel loosens them to not working. Also, if you buy the cheapest from China, be prepared to order more than you need as some will not work when you get them. I have not found a ceiling light replacement that pleases me. Most are too blue or not bright enough. I guess, bottom line is, cheaper is not always better and you have to experiment with different sellers to fine the ones you like. hth

I bought these for all inside lights.(48 smd size). Much brighter than bulbs.
