Gen won't start, lights don't work unless on shore power

Thanks for all your help. It was the battery disconnect switch by the entry door. Love this forum and everyone's willingness to help. Thanks to all of you who posted and helped me diagnosed and fix the problem.

Just to be clear, you unhooked and nothing worked. Did you rebook and things worked? You then tried the generator and it won't turn over? Not that it turns over but won't run? The switches that control the house and chassis battery, often found at the door but sometimes on dash are all in the on position.At first it sounded like a transfer switch malfunction but if the generator won't even turnover, I assume clicks, then you have a 12 volt battery problem and even with low charge at least a house light should turn on with 12 volt. You have replaced the large fuse. I had circuit breakers in the battery compartment on my other two coaches. They did not look like standard breakers. If everything worked before you plugged in and after it didn't work isolates the problem to perhaps something that got turned off. Make sure your connection to house batteries for the ground is did not detach. Very strange. Good luck. Others know much more than me. I am experienced with the simple solution first. Be interested if after a few hours of driving and charging of the batteries it makes a difference.

Test at the battery, a light fixture, at the converter, post voltages. Check the voltage at first 12 volt breaker by putting red on a terminal and the black on the frame. Check both sides of the breaker. Is the battery disconnect inside or out? Check voltage there also. Post results.

90amp fuse at battery replaced with no results

Driving now. Will check more stuff at next stop. In the meantime keep posting up suggestions..

There might be a solenoid with the 12 v house battery when you turn it on (Monacos and HR have it) that can be bypassed..or there is a fuse coming out of the battery to the 12 v system to a solenoid which is blown and not giving you power to the inverter.

Don't see anything like that close to the battery.. I'll look some more... If I find them should it just be 12v coming in and out?
