I'm looking for any info relating to class C RVs with 4-wheel drive. Am looking for a friend. I own a class B so am not too familiar with what is out there in the class C world but having looked online for a while they seem hard to find. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated. TIA

Many members prefer to talk the big money. I am of a different faith so try and find ways to get as much for my hard earned cash as I can. There is a company in the US that manufactures kits...U-Joint Off Road...a person needs to have a shop and skills, but I have typed with guys that have done it and they like it. The one I bought had been converted by a shop in Kamloops, BC, Kamloops Light Truck...(you can Facebook them) The cost of that is around 22,000 CDN.

If you have any questions, by all means, ask away.Gary Haupt

Hope you didn't mind me posting it!

I saved a copy of it years ago, because it has been a dream of mine to have a 4x4 Class C like yours. If you still have it, when you go to sell it I sure would like first pick!

I neglected to add...Kamloops shop does whatever the customer brings in. New or not new. I am a huge fan of a person going out and finding the RV that suits them...a used one...and then have it converted. Do the math.

This is the statement I specifically recall reading in another thread. I guess money could be made to talk if things are slow and they want the work.

Here is a picture of a forum members 4x4 Class. Hope he doesn't mind me posting it. :C

It's from quite a few years back and I don't have is name but he posted a lot of his travels with the 4x4. So yes they do exist.

I guess adding a transfer case and swapping axles to my Jayco Seneca is not a good idea??? 😉

Their web site does list an extra charge for a cutaway model with body installed that's described as "Vehicle arriving with motorhome/bus/other body installed." That would seem to me to imply they will at least sometimes convert vehicles which were already motorhomes, at least for the Ford E-series where I was looking. I can't say for sure as I've never had any reason to investigate it myself.

CLICK HERE for the details and video of the making of a Phoenix Cruiser 4x4.

I believe all 9 models from 21 to 31 feet have the optional Quigley 4x4.

All 9 models are also offered without slide outs, at a decent savings per slide out. And if you don't like any of their floor plans and have something else in-mind, ask them. Even previous model years can be built on request. I believe there is a minimal charge for such deviations and requests.

Phoenix USA is one of the most flexible RV manufactures out there, and being so affordably. They also make a decent product.

Looks good but for various reasons would be a nightmare off road.
