Our Discovery is going in next month for laminate in living area and new carpet in the bedroom. The shop needs the rig for three weeks and the cost is about $4500, but I will never have to shampoo the rug again!!!

The time varies on the complexity of the coach. Factors involved: can the owner help with demo-removing old carpet, pad, any hard surface, furniture etc. Usually, a 7-14 day affair

Hi erniee, I am wondering if you would give an idea of how expensive would be on put laminated floor in a Fletwood Bounder 2007. 3 slides. And how long will take the job. TY

If you wish to add hard surface on your slide, you will have to add a piece of plywood to extend the edge past the main floor where the slide goes down the ramps. Not rocket science, but thinking through the movement of the slide, you can see your limitations and proceed from there. I put wood on slides in 90% of the coaches that I do.

I'm hoping you did your homework on the choice of laminate flooring in an RV. It seems to me the extreme temps and humidity variations will cause shrinking and expansion issues.

That said, I have installed several laminate floors in homes and I can only recommend one brand. ALLOC Brand. And I would say their "original" model would be what I would go with if I was to put it in an RV. I have seen too many cheaper lock together floors separate due to cold dry winters and dry heat sources in houses. I can only imagine how it will go with an RV parked for the winter with no heat in the northeast.

Good luck with your project!

I would like to, I can't figure out what to do under the slide. it is a flush floor. I have looked through you tube and rv mods etc.they show everything but getting started under the slide. After that is is really a straight run except for a small jog in kitchen area.

Seems to me you would be doing all the hard work yourself. Might as well put the floor down yourself. ernie and floor it are members here and could give you some great tips. I'm shure YouTube has some videos also.
