Motorhome weighed today. - Need input

Hard to tell until the coach is weighed with it loaded like it would be for a trip with all of your food, clothing, pets, tools, FULL fuel, and anything else you usually take on a long trip.
Even then it is only a guess without four wheel weights. With only axle weights, you can divide by two but you should add extra because one tire WILL be carrying more weight than another on the same axle.

Had mine weighed last week when loaded for the trip....full fuel tank, about 10 gallons of fresh water (which is what I usually carry just for hand washing enroute, etc.) empty holding tanks, bins full with tools, chairs, umbrellas, small grill and accessories, fridge full of food and a large cooler full of bottled adult beverages... ;-) The only thing that wasn't in the coach when I weighed it was the DW and the dog (add another 160lbs). I was 50lbs under the total GVW of 20,500lbs, but about 100lbs over on the rear. I learned that I gotta shift some things from the rear to the front and shed some unnecessary stuff too. I run 100psi in all 6 tires...Goodyear G647, 245/70R19.5, with a max rated cold psi of 110 each. The inflation chart says I can run 85 front and 90 rear at those weights, so I figure I'm doing good keeping them at 100 each considering compensating for not having 4-corner weights and not having DW and dog.

Just my train of thought so you can think along that line.

The Public scale operated by the Dept of Highways near Parksville ,BC has enough room along side to weigh the Left side Front and rear ,independently. Then we drive around and reweigh the entire Coach. It's simple to subtract the left from the total to come up with the independent weights.

We only go there when the Scale is closed to commercial traffic. The scale is actually turned on 24/7!

I'm pretty sure that Most ,Government run scales are set up the same way!

Unless the coach is perfectly level when you pull in off to the side of the scale, the weights given are not accurate.

For your load at the time the weight was taken, yes your pressures could be high but I can't say for sure based on what Hercules provides. They only state the maximum load at the maximum cold pressure.

You could apply the Goodyear inflation table for a 245/70R 19.5 G rated tire but your weight is off the bottom of the chart which would be 80 PSI for a weight of 7280 Lbs on the front and 13660 Lbs rear which is actually greater than what your axles are rated but not by much. Using Goodyear pressures is not without hazard. Even though the table does not specify a particular make or model tire just size and series Hercules might have different numbers. I recommend calling Hercules (1-844-432-9729) to find out what they say.

And get your coach weight checked again once you load up the storage bins and other areas with stuff. It adds up quick. Individual weights would be best but you can get by with axle weight until such time as you can source someone who can weight each corner.

Hard to say without knowing what your chart says for 100psi, but does sound high for now.
I will say that if you're not going to weigh again and considering you're so close to max., I'd air up according to the GVWR axle ratings and add 15psi for a cushion to take care of the variables, including varying side to side weight differences.
Just curious, but what might be your GCWR rating

The GVWR is 20,500 lbs
The GCWR is 26,000 lbs

100 PSI sounds perfect, but won't hurt to run up to 110 either. You should only use your own manufacturer's chart. No one elses. Other manufacturer's charts do not apply in any way.

You are good to go. IMO only of course.

Well, even loaded, you still have plenty left for towing, so that's good. I'm guessing you have a Ford chassis with those numbers and the age of your coach.

Yes. It is a Ford F53. I should have put that in my original message. We pull a Honda CRV. I recently removed a 25" Tube type TV and supporting equipment that must have weighed close to 150 lbs altogether. Based on the 6640 weight today with the new lighter TV (weighs 10 lbs) I think we were close to the 7,000 lb limit on the front with the old TV. Glad I got that heavy thing outta there. Much quieter up front too without the old heavy tv rattling around.
