When you turn the gas off it may take awhile for the gas to get back to the fridge. I would first turn on a gas stove and light it, that lets you purge some of the air and lets you know the gas is working. Then go back and start the fridge. Does your fridge have a indicator light to tell you it is on gas? If it does and the light does not come on try it again for a few cycles to get the air out of the lines

Dometic, double side by side doors, ice maker. Haven't tried electric yet. Have no idea how to check if gas is lit.

How long has it been running?
Does the gas flame come on?
Does it cool on electric?
IF cools on electric OK......
Then need to check that flue baffle is correctly positioned...too high/low results in improper heat transfer
Flue tube.......carbon build up will reduce heat transfer
Dirty burner/orifice...improper flame
What fridge do you have?

When lines are opened up they get air in them and it may take repeated tries to get the burner to light. Can you tell if the burner is lighting? If the stove is difficult to light thatโs a pretty good indication of air in the lines. I sometimes have trouble lighting my frig and I light the stove burners for a few minutes. Seems to help even though the frig should be another line. If the burner's lighting I leave it to someone more knowledgeable to give you some input.
