HDMI splitter

I have two TV's connected to a HDMI splitter and then to the Wally satellite receiver. It worked one time and now no sound. I have re-booted all devices in various sequences and swapped cables. Does anyone know of a decent HDMI splitter? Searching the internet turns up numerous no sound problems.

Just an update in case anyone might want to use such a device.

The splitter that I first tried was a cheap one from eBay, thinking it was a simple device and should be good enough. What I learned was the order of powering up the TVs, splitter and satellite receiver had to be a certain way for it to work. I found the LED lights on the splitter were very bright and annoying. Now to make matters worse, the splitter gave off an extreme amount of RF radiation, so bad that I couldn't listen to Rush Limbaugh on a portable radio in the barn or anywhere near it.

I contacted Sewell about their SW-23500 product and they basically said no problem. I purchased their splitter and installed it and am pleased that the above issues are gone.

I have a similar issue with mine sometimes. I turn off both outputs from the HDMI switch but leave the switch powered. Turn on the device closest to the splitter 1st (mine is a TV) and make sure that has signal. Then turn on the device farthest from the switch. !st device can now be turned off.

i have an HDMI recorder box
and everything has to come on in the right sequence or the TV doesn't get the signal from the PC or DVD

my only TV has 3 hdmi inputs, so i haven't needed one

By golly that worked, Thanks! The one thing that I had to add was to pull the plugs on the main TV and Wally. I believe that they, even when off, sends a trickle of current to the splitter not letting it completely reset. To make it easier, I'll try to find a small power strip with individual switches.

TV ..LET IT BOOT ALL THE WAY UP, until you see the NO signal

Yes it has power, it has leds at each connection. I understand it needs to communicate with the TV's and determine resolution, etc. Because it did work on the first try, it seems to have gone belly up. I just wonder if anyone actually had success with these things. Since the Wally satellite has no coax output, and I have no available component input, that leaves me with using a component/coax modulator or this thing. I have used modulators before with poor video results.

IIRC HDMI devices have to be powered, there is an active handshake signal between them and the other device .. TV, dvd, BR player, sat box etc..

is the power cord plugged in ? is it working ? etc..
