X2...but then I'm still using an old flip phone also..A lot of this cellphone, computer, Facebook stuff is overrated.

I just found they have added more info to these coverage maps. You can actually put in a physical address and it will 'pinpoint' if the coverage is there! Some of them you have to click and go to the residential part of the website to find an active map for address.

I was looking for land to put the MH on for winter to avoid the sardine experience for winter. I wanted to know upfront if my phone would work.

The big coverage map showed me there 'was' coverage.
Put the address in and the more detailed map showed that that particular area absolutely did 'NOT' have any coverage.
This would work for any CG also if you had the address.

My fav state park CG is usually a once a month destination. When I had a Blackberry there was never an issue but it was only a 1G application. I thought a 4G Droid with Verizon would be absolutely, positively fine. Very disappointed since the coverage map says all is well and it is in between two major market areas. However, the tree shrouded CG is at a dead end on a peninsula with the Chesapeake Bay on one side and a large river on the other. So, although I understand the topographical dilemma the fact Internet is usually non-existent or marginal at best and phone calls are dropped regularly, I still head up there since it is a great place. As previously posted, I do not believe it is practical or incumbent for a CG to even begin to identify the myriad of reception possibilities. I am tickled to death just for the electric working properly!

You will be properly treated at our parks. Our staff is trained to NEVER promise cell phone coverage, wifi coverage or satellite availability. How am I supposed to KNOW if your phone will work, or YOUR satellite dish will find a signal or YOUR computer will connect and work on our network? Call your cell carrier instead of passing the buck to the campground.

Your phone your responsibility. How could anyone keep up with all the phone buyouts, tower changes. If it is important to you do the leg work.

If our phone will not work, no big deal. Certainly not any ones fault but the person that purchased the cell plan.

Camp operators have no control or knowledge of your equipment or provider. For instance, my old samsung flip dumb phone with verizon works all over my camp, while the next guy with the same phone but a different provider may not. Then another with a smart phone with another provider again works just fine. How could we list that?
Are your wishes for 4g text & inet? If these are a must have, then plan on 'camping' in a city.
All we can say is in our location nearly all phones work for voice, some for higher usage, a few not at all.
Get a Wilson 2 way repeater booster if it is critical to you to have service. That is, if you want to leave the city behind.
