Sticky traps.
I've caught many a mouse in these sticky traps. If I'm in bed at night I always knew when I caught one because they make quite a racket when trying to escape. the one downside is the mouse is usually still alive and you need to dispatch it another way. I even had a mouse chew off its leg and get away. I never found it. I eventually went back to the old fashioned spring traps. At least they usually killed the rodent. - Calgary_CampersExplorerWe used dryer sheets. Seem to work as no mice in last trailer over 15 years. The new one has 1/4" of Rhino liner sprayed on the bottom. Nest idea, I hope.
Saying that, dryer sheets will be near any holes. - Toolguy5Explorer III

I've personally had success with Fresh Cab Rodent Repellent by Earthkind. I leave a couple pouches in the camper year 'round.
I'm glad it has worked for you. We have not had the same success. But then our mice use dryer sheets to make nests too.

In my old travel trailer we used Irish Spring soap and dryers sheets to keep mice away. They nibbled on soap and used dryer sheets to wipe their mouths. - Duke-44ExplorerI will not bait them for a trap. I have had great success with MOTH BALLS. I store my unit for at least6 mo. of the year in a closed storage unit that has mice . I put moth balls on anything that touches the ground, jack feet, around tires. I check it every 2-3 months and add moth balls as needed. I put m balls on jack feet when camped or just parked by my house. I have no problem with mice when I am vigilant.
- aruba5erExplorerI think I have tried everything and the best is a regular cheap trap with peanut butter.BUT, I got sick of seeing them get into the fiver so I spent some serious time looking for how. I finally came up with the fact that the square tubing that hold up my slide (only one slide, 2 pieces of tubing) were hollow and that was how the rodents where getting into the area under the floor. Then they were getting into the camper proper thru spaces around the water pipe and heat duct. I shoved in some steel wool and then foamed the tube shut with great stuff and in the last 3 years I have not had mice. I still have traps set in in case.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII like the million mouse trap method myself. I don't like poison. It could kill my, or someone else, pet.
Thankfully , I can store my TT at home in the shed where I have cats. - drsteveExplorerI've read many tests of sonic deterrents and the various homemade scent repellents, and haven't seen any that actually work. The only reliable method is to seal all entry points and keep baited traps inside the unit.
- suprzExplorerWe are lucky to have cats that go outside and are good mousers. But i did have 2 mice in my RV one fall... To be honest i think i brought them back from South Dakota. But anyways, i got some regular snap traps and baited them with chewed up Tootsie Rolls. And within 1 week i had caught both of the little vermin. They like tootsie rolls, and when they try to snatch the bait off the trap, it sticks to the trigger and SNAP!... Adios mousey.....:B
