Surprises just keep coming ... new 5er
This is my 5th camper, 1 pop-up, 3 TT's, and now a 5er.
In all my campers, I've always lit the oven pilot light by hold the oven knob to the on position, waiting a few seconds, then igniting a fire starter and lighting the pilot. After a few seconds, and the pilot stays on, then turn the temperature up on the oven. I've always done it this way. .... until now!
I just watched a YouTube Video on this years changes on the Montana High Country that is universal for them all. One thing it showed was the 21 inch Furrion oven and stove. And I was amazed what was explained!
The stove top works with the spark feature, but no one ever told me the oven does the same thing! In all my previous trailers, I never tried using the spark to see if it would light the oven.
After watching the video, I tried it, and sure enough... hold the knob in for the pilot to receive gas, wait a few seconds, turn the spark knob, and viola! Fire! Amazing!
These are the types of things they never showed me at my PDI walkthrough. Amazing!
My stove - oven: Click here. If you've been starting the oven with the old match or hand held fire starter, you just might try the spark igniter at least once and see what happens. I just never knew!
