Youโll easily spend $10k, actually more, just for the grading (if itโs easy), foundation (if sog and no frost wall required), and the door. But there will be no garage between the slab and the door.
And fwiw, if f you do go forward with building a shop/garage, its comparatively cheap to add square footage and height, or more accurately a better value $/sf and moreso, far better for resale. A smart person will balance their needs and wants vs the needs and wants of the typical buyer to determine best value.
If one is in a retirement community ish area, a simple park the camper garage may BE the best value as a large % of the future perspective buyers wonโt make use of additional space because theyโre old and less active and older folks generally downsize. BUT, build a shop that is barely tall enough to fit an avg TT and you just precluded all potential buyers in the future who have a tall RV or boat.
Or if you donโt make provisions for power, or more power, youโve now precluded all potential buyers who may actually use the shop for more than a basic carport.
Itโs a rabbit hole for sure, but thereโs a good balance that needs to be thought about. Especially by someone who reasonably has no idea what to do, to begin with.
