Check with a meter what DC voltage you have on terminal block backside of fridge with fridge off and with it on
And what does it indicate if there is a difference, should they read 12 volts either way?
Yes.....DC voltage should stay constant.
It will indicate whether you have good dc voltage to fridge and that your dc voltage from battery/converter is maintaining when fridge turns on.
If constant then battery/converter is not problem and problem is fridge controls. - jlscjsExplorer

I have a Domestic 3-way fridge
was this something you had added? because the OEM fridge/freezer should be a 2-way, not a 3-way.
No I was mistaken, I thought because I unplugged the as cord and the lights on the front panel stayed on it was running off the DC - bikendanExplorer

Love these new fangled devices that change the spelling for you. Dometic.
So THATS why all these posts say DomeStic instead of Dometic. Spell check changes them. I always thought the OP's were bad readers and spellers:B Doug- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIICheck with a meter what DC voltage you have on terminal block backside of fridge with fridge off and with it on

Maybe, but it will drain your batteries in short order.
does this mean it will operate on 12v for boon docking? - jlscjsExplorer

Loss of 12V DC power (as in low DC voltage) or bad circuit board are the two common components between ALL means of operation..120V AC, propane or DC heater
If the fridge comes on without the 120v access cord plugged in, does this mean it will operate on 12v for boon docking? How would I go about testing for low voltage coming into the board?
