It's turning on by itself. Annoying, when in the night. It tries to load CD - tray is empty - displays Empty Tray message - switches to radio mode. There are no clear loud stations in the area, just static noise and ugly orange backlight of display. (No, setting Volume to zero doesn't help, it starts from Medium every time).The fuse is for entire kitchen, no separate fuse for radio. Disabling 12V to radio was impossible without taking it out of the upside-down hood holding it to the wall cabinet, so I took the hood off together with radio and disconnected the wires - photo below. All wires with connectors were tucked in the hood behind the radio - they probably thought it was German-made 1970 Grundig that needs no repairs within the owner's lifetime. Model Jensen JCD 2010.Attaching it again solely for esthetic purposes - 3 or 4 lbs weight, suspended from particle board on #8 screws - you gotta be kidding. Besides, the thing was junk anyway, poor reception and weird controls.

My 2004 Winnebago Class C had a Jensen radio in an outdoor panel. Late one night during a winter trip to Yosemite my DW said as we sat around the dinette "who's playing music at 11pm?" I opened the door and found no one camped anywhere near us. So I bundled up and went outside to find the radio blasting away. I opened the compartment and shut the radio off only to have it come back on a few minutes later. I turned the volume down to zero and shut it off. Next morning, I found it on and dug under the dinette to find the fuse and pull it. I called Jensen when I got home and they said that it happens sometimes from any kind of rogue radio waves. My solution was to find the power wire coming off the radio and put a rocker switch next to the radio.Also, make sure the remote if stored somewhere doesn't have any buttons being pushed.

Check to see if the alarm is set, that will cause it to come on. Also see if there's a way to shut off the speakers.

Wee had our outside unit on at a low volume and couldn't find the source or a while.
Found a small remote in the coach, and shut her down.
I have though of turning it on when they are blaring rocky hunky dunky funk, or whatever, next door around the fire, some nights, at sufficent volume playing Moon River, or my cd of soothing sounds with a Thunderstorm on it.

There is no alarm on it, only a clock.
I either need it connected to have a clock (and then it will go on and off again), or it will be attached with a kill switch, i.e. blank display. You take screws out of particle board, then put it back in and keep your fingers crossed that it will hold - all this for an ornament where even a clock doesn't work...

Since I'm on it, - why not getting a better radio. With a better FM/AM and half-decent amplifier for music and 2-channel movie sound from laptop. Ideally, it should have HDMI to avoid interference on 3.5mm jack, but this is probably asking too much. What about this source? Parts Epress

C Crane only make portable radios. For this I have Sony ICF-SW7600 with FM/AM/SW/SSB, not Grundig but a "ok".

a car stereo of the right size is way better than any rv stereo. you can pick one up all over. best buy,walmart,amazon. a better parts express link--- car stereo get a "meda reciever" car stereo if you do not need cd playback less to go wrong shorter depth and more input options.
