My CD Radio has got gremlins
It's turning on by itself. Annoying, when in the night.
It tries to load CD - tray is empty - displays Empty Tray message - switches to radio mode. There are no clear loud stations in the area, just static noise and ugly orange backlight of display. (No, setting Volume to zero doesn't help, it starts from Medium every time).
The fuse is for entire kitchen, no separate fuse for radio. Disabling 12V to radio was impossible without taking it out of the upside-down hood holding it to the wall cabinet, so I took the hood off together with radio and disconnected the wires - photo below. All wires with connectors were tucked in the hood behind the radio - they probably thought it was German-made 1970 Grundig that needs no repairs within the owner's lifetime.
Model Jensen JCD 2010.
Attaching it again solely for esthetic purposes - 3 or 4 lbs weight, suspended from particle board on #8 screws - you gotta be kidding. Besides, the thing was junk anyway, poor reception and weird controls.
