Shower Drain

Likely a piece of construction debri from when they cut the whole in the moisture barrier/liner under your shower pan. If the showers working fine now and you don't see water pooling under the camper after extended showers, I'd say the chances of it being anything that could cause a leak or be of concern are none.

It's entirely possible you snagged a piece of a HepvO check valve that is used in many RV's because of the lack of room for a P trap.

That could very well be the check valve, hopefully not.

Sure sounds like the guts of a HepvO trap. If it is, I hope you have access to the underside of the shower to replace it, otherwise it will be a really big deal to fix/replace it. The gray tank can have some bad smells... if you start noticing that in the bathroom, you are probably looking at replacing the trap.

Ya better have one of those rubber disks to lay over the drain like used on kitchen sinks!

I am the original owner so whatever was down there came from the factory. I don't smell anything from the drain yet and it drains into the holding tank as it should. I don't see any leakage anywhere.

When we first bought our Jayco (new)it stopped up on two occasions. Had to use a Flushmaster to free the clog of tissue. Learned to flush twice and had no more problems.

About ten year later I had a leak on top of the tank so had to remove it for repair.

Found a #3 Craftsmen screw driver lodged at the 45 degree bend in the toilet drain.

A friend had the valve jam open after about 5 years on a camper he bought new. He found a plastic drink bottle in it.

Like my screw driver, it was a gift from the guys who built it or someone who looked at it at the dealer before we bought them.

Thanks all and JoeH.... I think you are exactly right on the HepVo... Looking at that diagram shows me exactly what I did. My coat hanger hook went all the wall through the rubber membrane and hooked on in. I pulled the thing inside out and then tore it off. So other than odor, there should be no big problems from this, correct?
