Out of 14000+ posts I thought you might have a hard time locating it too LOL. I think you listed 3rd generation 5.9s as follows and mentioned the strength and weaknesses of each. Here are the years I'm interested in
2003–2004 250 hp
2003–2004 HO 305 hp
2004.5–2007 325 hp
Someone told me recently that the latest 5.9 have had major problems. This someone had to rebuild his engine at 80k. - 45RicochetExplorerWell mine is one of the latest ones and it hasn't had a wrench on it ( other than maintenance). For the most part all those you listed are the same engine with little improvements to improve power.
Opps I forgot that costly and time killing water pump :W - boogie_4wheelExplorer

A pooched injector can wipe out the engine quickly. The general practice over on the CumminsForum is to add a 2-micron filter inline before the injection pump.
I love my '05. I wish I had more than 4 gears though; just something to think about. - ib516Explorer II

My experience and opinion is the 2003 - 2007 5.9L Cummins is about as reliable as an engine can be. The only weaknesses I would speak to about these trucks is the front end parts, and maybe the transmission. I had to basically rebuild the front end under mine during my ownership. I got it with about 35,000 miles on it, and I can't speak to how it was treated before I got it, it was an oil field truck, but I treated it well.
I also agree that the fact that the transmission is a 4 speed is a drawback, but mine worked fine.
I would gladly own another, but I chose gas this time -- primarily for it's cold weather performance, and the fact that I don't tow as much as I used to, and I plan on downsizing the RV in a couple years. - bovelloisExplorerThanks to all. Now I'm starting to question my memory. The info could have come from someone else. In any case, this sub-forum (Tow Vehicles) is a great source of information.

YEA WHEN THE NUBS ARE STILL ON THE TIRES WHEN YOU TRADE THEM IN THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY PROBLEMS ;)
