The first thing I did actUlly is get up there and try to pull the seal back up. No go. It was like it was stuck in there.
It isn't doing any damage to the roof either btw - fdwt994ExplorerDefinitely a do it yourself job if you take your time and do a little up front research. Good luck.
- MudChuckerExplorerNot Urgent...rhis seal only stops water when the slide is closed. I was just inu roof fixing mine as it was blowing out while driving
- samhain7ExplorerI think when the dealer adjusted it last time they over adjusted. It makes a horrible sound when sliding IN now. So maybe it is off center and pulled the seal off.
- evanremExplorer III'm not totally sure but that might just be s sweeper seal. It does nothing for water and I don't think it would be that $$$. Mine just snaps in I have been dealing with it got years sliding off. Like I said earlier not totally sure but that what it looks like.
- MFLNomad IIYou should call your dealer, to see how quickly he can get you in for repair. If he cannot get you in right away, you may as well use it. If you are using it, the inside seal should keep the water out.
In any case, you want to avoid water getting in the holes, causing rot, or separation. An easily removed tape or putty may help keep the water out until fixed properly.
It does appear that the seal stuck to the slide, and was pulled loose. Over the years, I have used silicone spray, seal conditioner, 303, and baby powder to protect seals, and keep them from sticking to the slide,

I will also add that I inspected the rubber seal on the inside and it looks perfect. No issues or misplacement. Seems to be only on the outside that the seal,is dislodged.
Not sure if that makes a difference
The one question is does anyone see this as an urgent issue to get to the dealer or can it wait another week.
Take care of it ASAP, you are at risk of water damage. - samhain7ExplorerI will also add that I inspected the rubber seal on the inside and it looks perfect. No issues or misplacement. Seems to be only on the outside that the seal,is dislodged.

- samhain7ExplorerThe TT is two years old. It's wasn't that way forever as I just had the slide adjusted in the spring because it wasn't going into trailer evenly. ( tight seal at the top on one side, 1" gap at the bottom. ). I am sure I or they would have noticed it then....
