Running a 120v AC television using 12-volt adapter
I would think this had been addressed here previously but I tried the advanced search and also a regular internet search and couldn't find a definitive answer.
I'm looking for a 24" TV for my TT. It seems most (maybe all) of the ones in this size have their power input on the rear labeled "12V DC." Is it possible for me to use a third party DC adapter (such as this one) instead of the supplied AC cord? My TT has a DC socket located where the TV would be mounted.
I did see this thread, where on the second page mbopp noted one needs to know what he/she is doing or you'd fry the TV.
