Bummer! I am in same situation.. Renewed last year and am member until Aug 2018, but web says I have to renew a membership that has 2 years left to be able to use a member benefit.. Doesn't make sense.. I call customer service and the guy was very short and basically said.. Tough luck renew or don't get access to the perks benefit for members.. This really seems like a very poor situation.. I would have to pay $27 to extend a year... With still two years on my membership.. To see the perk.. Can someone help me understand how this makes sense, is legal, is in anyway good business. And anything other than a money gouge... Very disgusted member..Re: New to RV,when traveling how do you know what areas to avoidReally cracks me up how much of a jerk some people are.. I spent 22 years as sheriff in Californa and was active military as well as Army reserve ..so yes I have insight and knowledge of reading signs of trouble, but what a crack up that you can't ask if there is some app or other ways available to help plan a long term trip in areas a person has never been in without some people making stupid remarks..New to RV,when traveling how do you know what areas to avoidLet's face it .. Taking a wrong exit in some cities will place you in areas that you may not want to boondock or drive through being older or with the grandkids in RV. when you are traveling through states that you have never been in before how do you know what areas to not stop to fill up.. Etc... . I am a retired LE from California and now live in Utah... I travel in car all over the western states .. And know that the wrong exit in Bay Area .. Phoenix ... So cal .. Sacramento ... Vegas .. Etc places you in areas that are not safest.. I know this may be misunderstood but anyone who doesn't admit that parking in the wrong area is less safe than others is only fooling them-self.. How do you plan a trip all around the US and Canada with safety for grandkids etc as a factor..any apps.. Web pages etc that help?Switching out 110/120 volt wall outlet in RVI have a couple 110 outlets in my RV .. 1993 itasca ... That I get good voltage with meter when wiggle around in slots... But when something plugged in ..nothing runs... So I figure the contacts are worn inside so contact is not proper...... So I was going to buy replacement outlets from my local Home Depot and switch them out... Is there a problem with this.. Do I need a special type outlet or are they just the same as a home outletRe: "Bubbling"exterior side sections separation causing pockets gemert wrote: Without seeing pics, it sounds like delamination due to water intrusion in the area. Thanks for pic help..Re: 80mph gusts wind ..ripped off half roofAfter I told them I had the RV at repair shop and that the repair shop said the rails that the fiberglass is seated in was in tact and no signs of any spots were it was not tightly secured to the aluminum frame and that the roof was very solid to walk on.. I was told the office manager would have someone contact the shop.. The shop called me a couple days later and said they received a call from a man from progressive and that the man was very rude and was basically yelling at him, telling him that he was wrong and it wasn't until the repair shop told the man all the findings that he said. "I don't feel like paying to replace a roof on an old motorhome" .. The repair shop told him that he works with insurance companies all the time and believes this is one that should be covered since all the elements and firmly secured to the aluminum frame.. And his experience.. The insurance guy said he would take a second look but that he again .. Didn't want to pay to get it repaired.. The repair shop said that the progressive man actually was very upset at the end when he told them that he just had a very similar situation that Allstate just approved. I got an email saying after review the denial was still the decision.... I am so discussed and saddened by this ... now have to decide if there is anyway to get it repaired.. It was a dream to have an RV even an old 1993 ... And after putting some work into it.. It has kinda become part of me but I have to make the right choices.. We are on fixed retirement income so I need to find any valid options to get it weather worthy or walk away and take the loss for the amount I bought it for........I will still contact the corp office contact listed above and see what I can send to the Utah insurance commission.. But from above it looks like it's a standard denial and there is no real way for me to prove that it should be covered...Anyone replace a Winni fiberglass roof with another materialHas anyone changed a factory fiberglass roof from an older Winnebego -itasca class A motor home with a different type.... Short version - roof on 1993 27 ft itasca damaged and can't be fixed.. Appears to get fiberglass or entire roof from Winnie is either not possible or estimated to be $8000 plus.. What damage is Roof damage is that fiberglass peeled and broke so no repair is possible (need to remove entire sheet) and most of the thin wood (paper thin) layer separated ... But all other elements of roof appear strong to 2 different shops and 5 separate RV guys who walked on it and inspected.. Issue seems to be that the arc of the fiberglass would leave some type of space if rubber roof applied..... What I am looking for is anyone who has actual tired or succeeded in replacing this type roof with another material and having it be safe, reliable and long lasting from water leaks etc.... ....... Or any other options to get it in working order..Re: 80mph gusts wind ..ripped off half roofI figured I would give her a chance to request a review.. and I need a proof it was denied before I feel I should go higher.. maybe she will fix it at her level. . Not very confident but willing to give it a try.
