With the old tanks, if you leave water in them, they will turn putrid and you could pull the drain plug to empty tank. What do you do on the aqua hots if you do not want to pink it up?Re: Residential Fridge Batteries - How many??Well guys, in reference to searching for other post on this topic, if you don't specify EXACTLY what you are searching for that search will come up "Unable to Locate." so I reposted the question and I got my answer thru my post. Thank YouResidential Fridge Batteries - How many??Just purchased a new 2017 MH with a residential fridge. Fridge is running off 1800 watt inverter and two six volt batteries. Will two batteries suffice or should I add a couple more?Re: Is the new Ford 6 speed really that BIG a deal?I just purchased a 2017 challenger with the 6 speed. One thing I really noticed was when the thing shifted into 6 gear the coach really took off. It was up to 70,75 mph right now. Had to hold it back. Going from a diesel back to a gasser really impressed me.Re: C-7 fan hub bearingTo the gentleman who said "I will wait until mine goes out" Well if it goes out, you could be anywhere on the road and pray tell it doesn't send the fan blade into the radiator. The shop rate is based on 15 hours of hard work. Good LuckRe: will I get my money???For your information on this post: The engine is a cat C7 Accert engine. It was not a water pump problem but the main fan hub bearing. When the hub went out it tore up the serpentine belt that ran the waterpump and alternator. I was lucky the fan blade did not go forward into the radiator. This bearing did not have a zirt fitting but one of those pre lubed bearings. If the bearing was going out and making a noise, you can not hear it because of exhaust noise. Due to the design of the frame and box, this radiator had taken over 8 hours to remove it, even by good mechanics. Parts were very expensive by caterpillar. One tension pulley was $229.00. Labor was $100.00 per hour and they only charge me the going shop time of 15 hours Even though they went way over that. Google problems with this bearing and engine and you will get an idea of the problem. Good luck to anyone who has this engine and bearing.will I get my money???I purchased a 2007 Damon Tuscanny with a Cat C7 engine. That cat ran without any problems until last week. Heading north on Rt 65 out of Alabama I heard a noise out back, then water temp hit critical mass. Limped into a campground 2 miles away. Called GoodSam towing where they had taken me to a diesel repair shop. Sat there a week for repairs to the fan blade hub bearing. This bearing had no grease fitting. It was the new style bearing system that had problems when engine reached 30 to 50 thousand miles. Mine was around 49,000. Numerous post on the net had individuals with the same problem. I was told by a cat parts rep, the new hub would last around 40,000 miles. By the time I got back on the road the invoice racked up near $4,000.00.(Ouch) Since Cat had problems with this hub bearing, I wonder if they would help with the cost on the parts? What is the opinion out there? I will go for it!!Re: "Stop" Dash warning lightI had a Cat 350 do the same thing. Finally I took it to freightliner and found the problem with the turbo. Mine was only working 80% and when I go up a grade and step on it the light comes on. Mechanic said it will work on flat roads but when you need that extra 20% you will never get it from turbo. Actuator rod will rust and prevent the turbo from working. A friend lubs his turbo rod and never has a problem. Replaced turbo and the engine has a lot more zip, no more lights.Re: Thor qualityThe answer is simple. Look on web sites that have motorhomes for sale and you notice there's not many Tuscany's for sale. Owners love them and keep them!!!Copper Harbor TripPlanning on a trip to Copper Harbor in a few months. When is the best time to go there? Some say don't go after Oct 1st, because it can get very cold and snow. What about places to fuel up with diesel. Any help would be appreciated.
