I feel the need to carry a compressor for the safety of keeping my tires properly inflated. There are 12 & 120 volt as well as battery cable hookups. I have a class B (Airstream Intersate) Thank you for your comments.Cracked windshield on Airstream InterstateI have a cracked windshield on my Airstream Interstate 2014. It is the heated w/wires type. Do I have to have it replaced or can I have it effectively repaired? Thank you for your thoughts as always! BaileyRe: Trip to CanadaIt's so nice to hear your responses! We had to come back a couple of days early due to a family death. The Canadians we met were wonderfully friendly and a delight to visit with. They were the highlight of the trip and the trip was great. We stayed at Algonquin Provincial Park at Cannis Bay which my wife kept mispronouncing as cannabus, what a laugh! I really want to see the areas referenced in the posts. What a treasure Canada is! There are many places in the states that are great of course, it's just so nice to visit "another country". Thank you for your hospitality!Trip to CanadaWe went to Ontario and stayed in Algonquin Provincial Park. It was great and highly recommended. Despite having put gas in my diesel tank (thankfully I did not start it) and being towed to a local auto shop that siphoned the tanks and refilled them. The trip was without problems. Diesel is a little higher, they requested passports and seemed surprised when I showed rabies vaccination for our dog which they require according to Canadian websites. We were able to get into the park on a first come basis without reservations which is a little risky depending on time of year. The roads are better than the US IMHO. The internet and cell phone connection was very poor. I look forward to going back to another Canadian area. It's very enjoyable. We own an Airsteam Interstate which performed well especially in the smaller camping spaces. It was a good little 3,200 miler! from Nebraska.Dead BatteriesI have an Airstream Interstate 2014. It has been in storage for 3 months and the batteries are all dead. The ignition key will not turn indicating the chassis battery is dead. I have connected the outside shore power cable to our home's electrical outlet (110 volt) for 24 hours without any progress. I was told by Coach Net, the road service that comes with the purchase of the Airstream, that because the RV is in storage and the engine is not directly accessible by another emergency assist vehicle, that it may have to have the transmission disengaged to allow it to be towed back out of the storage area to gain access to the engine compartment for jumping it. I should have disengaged the engine battery cut-off switch but stupidly didn't. Any thoughts?Recommended RV for National Park VolunteerDoes anyone have recommendations or specific considerations for couples who want to RV in national parks while they do volunteer work for periods of 2 months or more? This couple has never RV'd before. They are venturesome and about 65 years old. They are nearly-retired professionals and have good financial resources but are still smart about not spending money on "needless" fancy extras i.e they want good utility basics. I know this is very broad in nature but welcome your thoughts. Thanks to all of you and happy Easter!Dynaquest Owner OpnionsI have a Airstream Interstate 24' and want a larger RV. I'm very interested in the Dynaquest models. I don't want a 40' but maybe 34-36'. May I ask for Dynaquest owners' opinions as to build quality and any problems you would call attention to? Also, if I buy used what's the best way to get it checked out to determine it's true condition. Thank you for your replies!Converting Class B to 4 SeasonsIs it difficult to convert my Class B (Airstream Interstate) to a 4 season RV? I'm concerned that I may someday be traveling in northern US and encounter unexpected cold weather for a prolonged period. Thank you for your responses!Class B cabin noise, how much is too much?I would sure like your comments on this add question. I just bought a new 2014 Airstream Interstate and I like it a great deal but it's very noisy with a lot of rattles and squeaks on highways and unloaded. Is this just typical because of the size of the vehicle? I thought that since it was an Airstream and Mercedes it would be a more solid overal vehicle in this regard. I am brand new to the RV world so I may just be unrealistic. Thanks to all of you for your answers and forums! I have to add to this original post, a special "thank you" to those who have responded. The thoughtful, detailed and extensive responses I quickly received are revealing of the friendly & helpful nature of RVers. I am happy to be part of this community and look forward to the day when I know enough to contribute!Newbie seeking help-Just purchased first RV !!We are super excited that we purchased out first RV (B class).
