I am not at my unit and will check later, just wondering. Thanks for the ideas!!Noise on Driver Side only while drivingOn a 2014 Fleetwood Southwind 32vs with less that 5000 miles. I started hearing a low pitch noise while driving. It's not whistle or rattle, but sounds like something is flapping in wind making deep flutter sound. At first, it would come and go. Started on the road, got it as I was getting up to speed. Stopped at next exit. Started again, it did not start. Later down the road it came back. Now it starts every time I take it on the road. It appears to be in the top left hand corner of windshield. Maybe behind the cabinets up top. Only hear it when on the road going faster than 20MPH.Why did GSRA cancel me?All, I have been a Good Sam Roadside member ever since I got my RV, over 2 years. I have never used that service for my RV. However, I have used it for my family with cars for local tows (2 or 3 in last 2 years). One use for an RV I would expect to be $100-$200 each. One local tow for a family car is about $50. Good Sam has decided to cancel my membership because I was above their normal cost per member per year. If you have insurance, there are years that are high and years that are low. There are clients that are high and clients that are low. That the definition of insurance. I do not understand why I was canceled because I used then 2 times in two years for approx $50 each. I do not remember what my contract limits were, however, the reason I was canceled was not due to exceeding limits. I would love to get Good Sam back. I did not have a bad experience (other than they cancelled me). Can someone please explain this better. I got the letter and called and spoke to a rep who both said the same thing. I was above the normal cost for an average user.Ford F53 CHF (Cheap Handling Fix)I saw this string about CHF. Any concerns about going forward with CHF??: My Ford F53 18,000 lb chassis has two holes at the end of the sway bar. Sway bars work by twisting. That twist takes place between the brackets holding the sway bar to the axle. By using the second set of holes you "wow" is coming from the fact the sway bar is not twisting in that position. You might as well weld a chain to the axle and tie it to the frame. You are pulling on the end of the sway bar because it is almost a straight line between the bracket on the axle and the chassis. All F53 are laid out the same way. Mine is not unique. You are pulling on the axle with the sway bar ends. THINK TWIST when you're looking at it. Now if you moved the chassis mount point and then used the second hole maybe..... Doing it as described is, in my opinion , a big mistake. I would never experiment while on a trip. I've done the Alaska trip on nearly every road in Alaska except the "haul road". If it was rocking that bad, I'd be slowing down instead. I had high hopes this free fix would work.Re: What was your best DIY road side repair?I was driving a Van with a leak in the head gasket. Anti-freeze stuck the oil pressure swith to full and my oil filter was shot off. Was out of town and did not want to tow long distance. New oil filter shot again so I was stuck. Drained the oil out of the engine. Put transmission fluid in the engine. Started the engine and watched the oil pressure gauge top out. Filter stayed on, and after about 15 seconds the oil pressure went down to nothing. Immediately turned off the engine, drained the oil pan, installed new filter and new oil which allowed me to drive the van home and replace the head gasket.Re: Water leak Frozen Toilet LineI think you push the flush lever as the air is pushing through. It will flush the water into the commode.Re: wire with small buttontks for everyone's helpWater leak Frozen Toilet LineHi, Here is a good story for those who are new to Class A. I did my normal winterizing on my first winter. The spring time came and went out on a quick test trip. When I hooked up the city water, there was a leak in my bathroom. With a little research, I determined it was a small line leading to my toilet. The winter froze the line (and the fitting the connects to toilet). Long story short, don't forget to read all your manuals to see what devices have to be winterized. No one told me to winterize the toilet. All the winterize post have talked about blowing pipes and adding antifreeze, etc. The toilet needs to be winterized manually to be sure the line is free from water and the toilet flushed to be sure no water in the fitting).wire with small buttonHi, I have purchased a used 2014 Fleetwood Southwind 32VS (Class A). The previous owner (do not know) installed something up by the driver's chair. The wire comes down from the driver visor area (just above is the TV box with cables, recievers, etc). There is a small one button switch as the end of the wire. I cannot figure out why someone would do this. I suspect it is related to the operation of the TV while driving. Any idea on how to experiment with operation?Re: Replace Canvas side on Forest RiverHow can I repair the plastic part?
