1972 Revcon 250
I recently purchased a 1972 Revcon 250 and have quickly realized how tough it's going to be to do a complete remodel of this rare beast. Currently I'm searching for new tires... the stock Revcon came with (5) 10-16.5 tires - including spare. For some odd reason the one I bought has two 9.5-16.5 and two 12.5-16.5 on the rear. I'm able to mount some 9.5-16.5 transforce's on three wheels, but the two rear wheels are wider and no tire is made to fit a 12.5-6.5 wheel. Any recommendations on the two rear wheels? Or does anyone know where I can possibly find two wheels that came with the stock 72 Revcon 250? (And some spare lug nuts, considering the rarity of those as well.) ... Fleetwood Storm ride
Traded in my winnebago view for a 2015 Fleetwood storm. Despite some opinions, we love the Storm 30 L floor plan and living arrangements. All systems are operating without a hitch. However, we don't like the ride. It seems too stiff and we feel every little glitch in the road. Because the highway system in the US is, in my opinion, a national disgrace, a softer more manageable ride would be a big help. We have taken three long trips and sway , big rigs etc. are not a major concern but road bumps are. Can anybody recommend shock upgrades or some system changes that can help. Would appreciate any responses. As with everybody, $$$, figures into the solution. Thanks in advance. John McDonough
Damon Escaper - Location of Leveling System Reservoir
I noticed a leak in the vicinity of the left rear leveling strut of our newly purchased 2004 Damon Escaper LX400. I've been trying to find the reservoir to check the fluid level and I've been unsuccessful so far. I'd sure appreciate some guidance. Thanks!
Has anyone replace floor with Coretec luxury vinyl flooring?
I have a bid to replace my carpet with Coretec flooring. Its a snap together flooring with a cork backing for added insulation/sound management--they say. He also said that water could penetrate where it snaps together, but wouldn't be easy. He suggested a cotton rug around kitchen, shower, etc. I'm just concerned about the water issue, especially around the shower as the door drips on the floor whenever we shower. If you have used this product or know someone who has I'd appreciate their experiences. It's pretty expensive.Orange County Calif. service recommendations
Its time to have some items looked at - House AC's, slide maintenance...etc. Anyone have experience in the OC with a particularly good place? What about that Mobil Maintenance company that advertises? Or any suggestions for a person who is trustworthy, experienced, reasonably priced...etc? Class A 2008 Fiesta 35' Thanks for your input! RV-Vehicle-Trailer tows (nCDL time?)
For those of you who double tow (RV towing a vehicle with a trailer attached to the towed vehicle) be aware that several states are jumping on non-commercial drivers license double-triple endorsements (like a CDL but not valid for commercial driving) bandwagon. CA (surprise, surprise, surprise) seems to be leading the pack with nCDL's for double/triple and over 26,000lb class RV's. Reports from NY are that they are enforcing a double triple endorsement requirement, even for out of state drivers. But this seems to be somewhat inconsistent between counties, and even NYSP patrol zones. I called a DMV in Lewis County as I am planning a trip to Fort Drum and have a Jeep JK and sub-2000lb MC trailer double tow setup. I'm under 26,000 but have a CDL-A without double/triple endorsement. The lady was not sure of the rules and said someone would get back to me, two weeks ltaer I'm still waiting...
